How would a mother of 3 young children (one being 7 months old) who is also expecting baby number 4 supposed to feel? Constantly tired especially in the evening or full of energy? I'm intrigued to find out how most of the female pregnant population feel?

Regards super women

I'm only 25 weeks with 1 DC already (although a v.active 1yo who is prone to falling on his head) and I could honestly sleep for 100 years.

Bl**dy hell, I'm 17 weeks with my first and a very helpful husband and I'm struggling simply working full time. I can't imagine having another child to look after while I feel like this. (it is now 8.30pm and this is the latest I've been up all week) I cannot imagine how you are managing.

oikopolis · 20/04/2012 20:31

i am pg with my first and in 1st trimester, i couldn't even look at a flat surface without desperately wanting to lie down and sleep on it.

from 3 weeks gone (i.e. before i even got a BFP) i was nodding off on DH's shoulder at 8:30pm every night. am now 18 weeks and evenings are still quite a struggle.

i cannot even begin to imagined how shattered i would be if i had another three children in the house to deal with... that sounds like a horror film tbh, i take my hat off to you

PurplePidjin · 20/04/2012 20:37

8 weeks with dc1 and absolutely shattered. Dp was telling me how tired he was earlier, then looked at me sympathetically and said "but I'm not growing a whole new person" and brought me a cuppa and some dinner.

If yours doesn't have that attitude, go hormoanal (sic) on his ass Wink

Weezie85 · 20/04/2012 20:39

I feel pooped all the time and I am on first child at 35+2. Good for you for not just hibernating for 9 months with three other kids. I think I would of. Haha :)

blondiep14 · 20/04/2012 20:44

18 weeks with #3.
DS1 is 4 and DS2 is 2.
I'm bloody shattered! But at least I've finally stopped feeling and being so sick!

I think you must indeed be Superwoman!

staycalmandcarryon · 20/04/2012 20:50

oh my goodness purple....Envy what does (sic) mean?

In all fairness my husband is really helpful, he will put the children to bed, make the bottles in the evening, wash up and pack away its just the little comments and the seeming to be non understanding of how tired I am by his remarks.

I cannot wait to get my energy back, I hate feeling like this and feel like I shouldnt feel guilty for it!

It means the spelling mistake was deliberate :)

DP has far more experience of pg women than I do, he's well aware of our finer sensibilities likes his head attached to his shoulders The rule in this house is, first one home does dinner. He was home first!

staycalmandcarryon · 20/04/2012 20:57

I get it now...please excuse my brain, its completely numb! Luckily for him I havent suffered with that and me :)

I don't know what it feels like to be un tired.

My rule that I follow now is," never decline the offer of a nap or a cup of tea-as you don't know when you're next one will be!"

Don't know where I picked it up from. But I've told my dh this is my new mantra and he offers to take over when he gets in from work for an half an hour or so, so I can nap and recharge.

Ds1is 5, ds2 is 10 months and 12 weeks pg with crappy sickness and exhaustion!

wasabipeanut · 20/04/2012 21:25

I'm 31 weeks with DC3 and really struggling at the moment. DS is 4 and DD is 2. I am shattered from about lunchtime onwards most days. I feel like this baby is wringing the last ounce of energy I have left. How in the name of God you are managing to grow a 4th I have no idea.

Respect.

JennyfromtheBlock · 20/04/2012 21:34

I totally sympathise. I pg with ds5 and have four lively boys as well (8,7,5,3) and I'm bloody knackered!!
