I'm 7 months, the size of a small planet, haven't seen my feet in months. My partner is flying in tomorrow and I think at this rate he'll be needing a strimmer to get anywhere close Blush

The last time I tried hair removal cream, and bloody ouch it burnt my fanny! Blush

What do I need to do? Strap a razor to a pole or something???

Impatientwino · 19/04/2012 13:30

never mind my fanny I'm more concerned with the hair that seems to have crept round to my bum Blush

has anyone else got increased bumhole hair?!!!!!

I never thought I would ever write that collection of words down?!

MillyStar · 19/04/2012 13:42

I've got increased bumhole hair, and tummy hair!

It's funny how we're all different, I let my OH shave my bits all the time but I would never in a million years fart in front of him I think it's disgusting but I know people who would happily parp but not have their pubes shaved!

I don't care what he sees/hears when I'm giving birth, I'm giving him a daughter x

HerrenatheHHHarridan · 19/04/2012 16:11

I asked DH this morning (as a result of reading this thread) whether he'd mind trimming my, ahem, 'area' since I can't reach it myself.

He stared at me like I'd grown 2 heads and then said 'I enjoy the finished product. That doesn't mean I want to participate in making it look that way!'

So I punched him in the nuts and walked off. well I should have

babbashouse · 19/04/2012 16:22

Impatient, YES! I have! It's really, really LONG! Wtf?!

seaweedhead · 19/04/2012 16:47

I was always in the out of sight, out of mind camp.

MissCoffeeNWine · 19/04/2012 17:21

I only do a quick trim of length every few weeks, to prevent spiders legs, it's all it needs. But having said that I've always been able to reach and see it even when pregnant. Paint my toenails too no trouble. Am I strange?

I couldn't give a crap what the MW thinks. If they don't like it they shouldn't be looking.

Impatientwino · 19/04/2012 17:23

babbas yes to the long! Phew, glad it's not just me.

lady with all the Hs :) would you like me to come and punch him in the nuts, more than happy to help, I have some rage today that needs a good outlet :)

mcsquared · 19/04/2012 18:02

I worry about this in the future so asked the bloke if he'd mind. He's too frightened of damaging my delicates! Might have to start getting waxes!

Big yes to bum, tummy and nipple hair. Nobody told me pregnancy does that to you.

Reeney1978 · 19/04/2012 18:32

With my ds I'd read all sorts about the need to tidy up. I'm naturally not very hairy and have been 'au natrel' for years. I'd talked about how much I'd read about it with dh who thought that we were all bonkers. But he never thought I'd raise it in conversation with my midwife in final stage labour!! She said that, quite honestly they've got enough to concentrate on to even notice!!

scarletforya · 19/04/2012 19:12

I'm an 'all off girl' as well. I got to the point where I couldn't see it any more so I went and got waxed, only they only took off the sides and the top and left a 'landing strip' and 'undercarriage' hair! Blush

I had a look at it in the mirror a few days ago and it was awful looking. Can't stand it! So today in the shower I decided to 'blind shave' it, which I did, I did it just by feeling. It came out really smooth!!! Grin I feel like myself again!

joanofarchitrave · 19/04/2012 19:18

Blimey. I feel like startrail, thank God I'm too old ever to have considered removing my pubic hair. It's black and it's proud.

ahhhhhpushit · 19/04/2012 19:39

Bowl of soapy water, towel on bedroom floor, mirror and razor....

Door shut and warning not to enter.

One hour.

Sorted :D

MillyStar · 19/04/2012 19:41

SCARLET I've always wondered if they remove undercarriage hair, I'm all off and always done it myself, was gonna treat myself to it done at a salon but mayaswell carry on with a razor if they only remove the hair from the 'monkeys head' as my oh lovingly calls it lol

BretstheBoomKing · 19/04/2012 19:41

Have been using a stand-up mirror to see what I'm doing while trimming. Going to wax bikini later though. It's a fine balancing act between waxing too soon, and risking regrowth, and too late and turning up at hosp with wax strips still attached.
Have a fear that the MW might be like the one I read about (on My OBsaid WHAT?!?.com) who sneered 'I see you lost your razor' at some poor woman.
Actually, now I think about it.. she'd be getting drowned in the birthing poolAngry
Only trim it if it's getting on your nerves I say!

scarletforya · 19/04/2012 20:15

They do Millystar but I hadn't got the courage to do that! (bum and undercarriage) It was quite raw in some places after she had finished so I'm glad I didn't go 'the whole hog' as it were! Grin at 'monkeys head'

ballroomblitz · 19/04/2012 20:34

I get my dp to do mine sometimes anyway even when I'm not pregnant.

Was stuck in hospital for weeks before having ds and had to go for a totally unplanned cs one day. Mw came and shaved the top of my bikini line on the ward with an electric razor. Was Blush as the buzzing seemed to go on forever as I had accumulated quite a few week's growth.

Cydonia · 19/04/2012 20:54

I was wondering what to do about this too! I've never been much good at doing it myself - discovered this when I had to have a colposcopy and made the mistake of taking a peek at the screen, just in time to see a load of stubble!! And that was when I could see what I was doing. I've seen what DP does to his own face with a razor so don't think I'm going to let him anywhere near my bits! Veet spray and scissors might be the way forward.

MillyStar · 19/04/2012 21:12

Ooooohh lovely I'm getting the lot done when I've had her then!

Won't mind getting my fanjo or bum out after childbirth and it will feel like being tickled lol

Cheers to all of our messy monkeys heads by the way :-) the things us women go through x

HerrenatheHHHarridan · 19/04/2012 21:18

impatientwino what a kind offer! Unfortunately he has now been warned since I showed him this thread.

He's sitting upstairs, rocking Grin

luckysocks · 19/04/2012 21:51

Ha out of sight out of mind here, too!

DH has done mine in the past but things are all 'odd' down there and I'm not really up for it. Hopefully they'll be able to find the baby but other than that I'm beyond caring Blush

joannita · 20/04/2012 06:01

Just leave it. I had my bikini line waxed last time I was pregnant and I got bloodblisters and ended up in tears. Unless your fella is planning to shave his own pubes off he can't reasonably expect you to.

McPhee · 20/04/2012 09:12

Well this morning he looked down there, and said I'd missed loads and he'll deal with it later if I wanted him to Grin

Grin at monkeys head too
