Yes I have. My dad is a retire cardiologist (heart specialist) and he said not to worry about it. Only thing is, I still get them from time to time. I suppose I should mention it to him again, just in case...

My blood tests were last week and they did come back that my iron was low so have been put back on folic acid and iron tablets so maybe thats a reason behind it, it has been worse over the past 2 weeks

just thought I would post about this as I have a very good friend who has just given birth but had horrendous palpitations for months beforehand. ALthogh they were very scary she was told by the caridologist that they do sometimes happen during pregnancy, and now that the baby has been born they have stopped.

SHe did find it scary though, so i can understand your anxiety.

I had this too - alarming, isn't it? My GP said it was normal and that his wife had them too.

thanks for the replies and reassurance, i'll see if the iron tablets make a difference and mention it to the mw next week

I am 21+ 1 weeeks and have these occasionally too... a suddden rush which feels like about three heartbeats in quick succession. Haven't mentioned it to anyone as assumed it was caused by adrenalin/caffeine or whatever. have switched to decaff tea and coffee but still get it occasionally. Am now wondering whether I should have said something as some people are mentioning cardiologists....
