what symptoms of twins did people get before scan

Hi all im new to this but i was wondering what symptoms of twins did every one have before scan. I am 10 weeks and i have a strong feeling im having twins. I have had really bad morning ( all day) sickness, i have felt movement and can feel the top of my womb. I already have 3 children but i did miscarry twins. I knew strait away with my 3 children what i was having but i am unsure with this pregnancy. My scan is on 24th april 2 weeks away cant wait to find out!!

My Gran did not know she was expecting triplets until delivery.

My dad was right about gender of my two, and is utterly convinced I am expecting triplets. I have felt shocking since implantation, and am now 11+1. Eagerly awaiting scan.

Got my scan next Tuesday im either 11 week or 12 week unsure as ovulation is all over and about 5 week between periods, whens your scan?

No date yet. Grr!

Aww let me know when you find out. I keep posting on here. Cant wait till my scan iv had date for the last 5 week. Seems to be dragging.

No symptoms except being really tired, only threw up once, two midwives had felt tummy and said I was the right size for a singleton- twins was a big surprise at 20 week scan (area didn't do 12 weeks scans for low risk people)! Friend was told twins at 12 weeks then at her next scan they found a third....

Was it twins? Hope all was healthy either way

I'm 10 weeks into my pregnancy and I've already started showing. A range of people are saying I'm further on than I think even though there's no way I could be and a range of people are saying I'm having twins. At first I thought nothing of having twins, until I found out my partner was a twin but unfortunately his twin died... And also his dad has a twin brother. I haven't had a scan yet and won't until the 14th October but could this mean I'm having twins?

It could or couldn't be. You may just be showing early though there is always the possibility of twins.

However twins on the father's side of the family has absolutely no bearing on whether you would have twins. Identical are a fluke or nature and if it is fraternal twins it is because you ovulated more than one egg, which is something you may be genetically predisposed to through the female side of the family, eg your mother, grandmother etc.

Good luck with your scan- even if it's just one baby, you'll be thrilled!

I love twins and cant wait to do my scan

I am a twin and I have have two sets of twin cousins.Three of my cousins have twins ( all natural meaning no IVF) On my third pregnancy i think I was about 1 day pregnant when I started feeling very ,very sick.I was also very sick in my two previous pregnancies but this was so so bad.The scan showed twins .Unfortunately I miscarried at 12 weeks but I was 40 years of age at the time so prepared that all might not go well.

I was convinced i was havng twins from very early on, cant remember exactly it was 45 years ago, i think about 3-4 months
I suggested this to my Dr,he said no its just a big baby, but i felt movement too far apart to be one baby so early on,
Anyhow at one of my examinations i was told i had a fibroid
I went into labour 3 weeks early and was sent for an Xray, i asked if they thought it was twins, [no scans in those days] i had been told 8 years earlier i would have twin boys
I was told after yes, but cant tell the sex as they were in a difficult position to see
I had twin boys a few days later

I am very disappointed that no one revealed whether they were having twins or not. Presumably this means they weren't.

So were they twins?!?! I was incredibly tired from the week after conception, like this new life was sucking my energy with overdrive. Yep, twins :).

Like an internet detective I advanced searched the poster and she did not regrettably have twins. She did go on to have a fifth child a year later though.

BertieBotts people are always more inclined to come back and say if they were right.

I did an interesting (but not very significant as only about 200 people) survey about whether people were right or wrong about whether they were having a boy or girl.
I found an interesting divide.
I asked if people were certain or had a faint suspicion and whether they were right.
Among those where said they were certain, it was almost exactly 50/50.
Among those who said they had a faint suspicion it was over 75% right. I suspect that is because if people had a faint suspicion, they dismissed it and didn't remember it if they were wrong.

I was very sick for all three of mine from about 10dpo until about 2 hours after labour. I was also exhausted with dd1 (found to be exceedingly low on iron.) definitely all singletons.
