ok- so i've mastered the art of pretending to drink, swapping drinks with DH etc but in pregnancy number 2 and I'm 10wks and am looking some what larger than normal. By the end of the day its very obvious...

how do/ did you hide your bump at this stage... it feels like a long road to the scan etc!

I wore all black (different colour tops and bottoms make my bump far more obvious) and scarves that hung in front of my bump. I finally told work when I was 17 weeks and only a few people had guessed. I'm on DC2 so showed much sooner with this one.

Floaty cardigans & a selection of scarfs & be thankful it's not summer!
I'm 14+4 second pregnancy, we've told friends & family & I've told my boss but not my colleagues, I'm about the same size now as I was at about 20 weeks last time, so far no-one has mentioned it but I think I might have to say something this week. We wanted results of NT before telling 'everyone else', we were expecting the results last week but nothing yet..

I didn't tell my work until 21 weeks.. Floaty tops, cardigans and belts seemed to work for me. Although it was winter and it's easier to wear more clothes !!

Scarfs and boxy blazers worked for me as they hid bump well. Also waterfall cardigans are made for pregnancy!!

I'm 20 weeks and only got to tell a few people last week and they had no idea at all.

Baggy tops worked for me - White Stuff do ones that are perfect for hiding your bump

I am in just the same predicament - I seem to have a baby bump at 8 weeks that only I know is a shelf of tummy flab (never quite got back the flat stomach from 1 st time around) and a tiny little bean. I had no sign at all at this stage with DS1.
So obvious is it that my usually 'notice nothing' DH commented on the size of it todayShock
Been off work for over a week and work in an open plan all female office- they're a lovely bunch but tongues might be a wagging without clamoflauge.

The all black tip is fab as is the boxy jacket and scarves. I am also blessed tunic dresses are a plenty in my wardrobe.
And 4 weeks is an eternity to get to a point where I might be out and proud and the size of a house end

Agree with these, black and baggy fashion is your friend. Also posture! Sit and stand straight, suck that baby in! It's easier with no 2 to let it all out. I also went for next size up clothes i.e. trousers. More comfortable and no one really notices!

SarahJessicaFarter · 09/04/2012 20:45

Plus, nice and considerate people may notice but won't say anything until you do!

Gingerbreadlatte · 10/04/2012 16:01

Thanks! I wasn't sure about baggy by will try. The black Lycra dress I wore last week was fine until I turned on the side.

Am back in the office tomorrow after Easter and I'm sure I look diff since last Wednesday when I was last in....

I really do hope everyone is polite enough not to mention it! Grin

Well- thanks to advice here, today i've got trousers, scarf (pashmina worn as a scarf so its hefty)and jacket that I will keep on.
