Help! I Need To Get My Rings Off

I am in desperate need of tips to get my rings off. My hands are swelling slightly and whilst I can get one on my right hand off, my engagement ring and wedding ring won't shift.

I have tried soaking them in cold water and using washing up liquid, but can't get them to budge. I've pulled that hard I think I've now made my finger swell up so I've left it for a bit.

I'll be devastated if I have to have them cut off so I'm looking for any good ideas on how to get them moving. Please help!

Try some ice to bring down the swelling and hold your hand up on a pillow for a while then loads of ky jelly or similar.

Try hand lotion and just keep working at it when the swelling has gone down a bit.

Mine too, no more rings for me and my puffy fingers. I used some of my bio oil and you have to twist the ring and pull gently at the same time, the twisting is the key. Seeing as the weather has turned chilly, I would brave the outside as my fingers always shrink back down when I am cold.

Ice, or raise them above your head. Then olive oil or hand cream and twist twist twist.

Mine got hopelessly stuck, but I eventually shifted them by very tightly wrapping clingfilm round the finger, smearing a little oil over it, then easing them up over the wrap. Not a pleasant experience, but it worked!

You want to get your hand cold so swelling goes down BUT the rings warm so the metal expands a bit. Not entirely sure how to achieve that but maybe ice hand bath and then put a really hot cloth on just the rings for a minute??

Wait for the swelling to go down, maybe run your fingers under the cold tap a bit, then try lots of olive oil and twisting. Hope you can get them off! The colder weather should help too.
