I'm 36 weeks pregnant - have been feeling a bit off for the past couple of days - i spent most of yesterday sleeping or reading - i'm exhausted! This morning my wee was dark - not just dark but a very very dark browny-orange colour - i've never seen it this dark before! Should i just try and make a conscious effort in drinking more water? My last midwife appt was a week ago and sample was normal.
Am i just being silly? I have no other symptoms of an infection - no pain or stinging..It just scared me because it was so dark! Please stop me from googling and diagnosing myself with something ridiculous and then ringing labour ward in tears! Stupid hormones

I don't want to scare you but you do need to call the labour ward immediately and tell them what you have said here, it could be nothing and you are just run down but it could also be linked to preeclampsia, don't google, just call and tell them the facts and they will probably do a urine test or blood test. I'll be here with a hand to hold in the meantime if you need it

I am 36 weeks too and have noticed the last few weeks my urine is dark too! It shows up as normal in the dipstick tests they do at my appointments, blood pressure fine, they took some bloods on Monday which were fine. Am thinking I really need to drink much more water which I am not very good at I must admit, need to get in the habit for when breastfeeding time comes!

It'll only take a second to do a quick dipstick of urine - can you pop in to see community midwife? Meanwhile - keep on drinking!
