I've just discovered that my annual insurance won't cover me because I'm travelling home on the day I am 32 weeks! Anyone bought insurance with good maternity cover?

many thanks

Insure and go. I have used them numerous times and they have been good. I called yesterday to arrange cover and they do not charge any extra to cover pregnancy.mi looked online and chose the correct cover I wanted, they do bronze, silver, gold etc which have different amounts of cover. I then called them up to check the pregnancy cover.

I think the Post Office insures pregnant women for travel, not 100% sure what stage of pregnancy they cover up to, you'd need to check it out.

I'm with "Ageas" and phoned to make sure as will be travelling when 30-31wk.They cover as standard as long as you have fit to travel letter from mw or gp

Most insurances will cover during pregnancy, with a dr's note. Is it because of you hitting 32 weeks that they have an issue with it? If so, ask to speak to a manager and see if they will still cover you with a dr's note.

Thanks for your replies, will have to get some quote, the policy we have is through DHs work, he rang them and doctors note or not they don't cover the last 2 months. Marvelous! I will of course still get a docs letter!

Post Office is usually good for covering stuff.

I have insurance with Tesco and they have assured my husband and I multiple times that they don't discriminate against pregnant women. You don't even have to inform them you are pregnant as they don't consider it a medical illness. Also, they will insure you all the way to your due date.

Check they will cover the baby too, if it comes early, and any expenses associated with having to stay on.

I went with Debenhams following a reccomendation on a previous thread. It sounds pretty comprehensive for pregnancy.
