I've mentioned it before but no one seems to pick up on it :)

Heartburn, reflux etc is caused by too little stomach acid, so you need to build up more in order to at least counter the effects of pregnancy heartburn.

I too am suffering horribly - it's the worst, stops me in my tracks! But when I remember to take the HCL supplements, it's manageable.

Please do have a read of this! Gavison, Rennies etc don't address the problem, they just temporarily mask it.

Gaviscon = cum texture....I'm about to fall off my seat!!! HAAAAAA!!! I agree, it doesn't work. I found Boots own heartburn tablets work really well, but only give them a little chew and wash them down with water as they get all stuck to your teeth.

Haaaa haaaa.......still chuckling!!

I hate this coughing sets it off, sneezing sets it off. Laying down to sleep. Worst of all hiccups set it off.

It helps when baby moves a little bit down and there is less pressure. xx

I've just started to suffer from heartburn more regularly at 32 weeks. I'm reluctant to take any medical remedy but the ginger tea tip sounds great! I've also found that Greek yoghurt (or probably any plain yoghurt) with honey helps, as does a glass of milk. It's horrible, isn't it? xx

Yes, yoghurty things are good. I'll definitely try the ginger tea seeker especially now we have deepest, darkest winter back in these parts Grin

Touch wood, it's not as bad tonight so I might actually get some sleep too!

You could try love hearts, refreshers, or Palma violets, they've worked so far on me! Touch wood
