Anyone else got a bouncy baby in there?

She never stops jiggling about!! It's like there is a bag of cats in there trying to get out.
It gets sore after a couple of hours of her doing somersaults and sticking her arms and legs out of my belly button.
I can't sleep at night or concentrate at work.
Not that I am complaining (much) but wow I hope she is not like this for the rest of her days!!!! Am 28 wks and it's been like this for the last few weeks.
Anyone else got a future wrestler in there?

With DS I felt more like a washing machine than a pregnant woman :)

Catsycat · 28/03/2012 19:56

The downward bladder stomp is the one that makes me squeal! And the other day I was getting ready for bed (had taken off my bra) and she kicked me so hard it made my boob bounce up - nearly took my eye out Shock!

Only at night when I am trying to sleep. I stand all day ( I am a kindergarten teacher) so baby gets rocked all day long. I guess she likes it!

PregnantCappuccinoDrinker · 29/03/2012 08:03

I copped one right in the cervix last night as I was trying to go to sleep that was almost painful! Am 26 weeks. I think I've read that 24-28 weeks is when they're busiest so you might get some relief soon Purple!

Also 28 weeks and my baby has recently taken up kick boxing lessons in my stomach, dp didnt believe me it was so bad till last night i made him watch my stomach and put the tv control on top, within a few seconds it flew right off, a few weeks ago we discovered that if he talks into my belly and tells the baby to calm it down a bit it genuinely stopped kicking every time, now though i think it just laughs at him and carries on kicking away....it doesnt bode well that its already ignoring its parents!

37 weeks and still have an olympic wrestler in there !!!!! I get the big rib kicks, as well as the 'all 4 limb dance' and hiccups about 10 times a day lol At least we know she is all good :)

Purplehonesty · 29/03/2012 09:53

Am going to try walking about a lot more today then as it was a lot worse yesterday when back to work and sitting at my desk all day.
Also dh has been trying to put her to sleep at nighttimes but by 10pm last night I was nearly in tears after eight hours of kicks I was so sore!
Washing machine! Thats such a good description

I am 34 weeks and baby is more active than ever. Not unpleasant but very uncomfortable, particularly the "bladder stomp"!!

Newtothisstuff · 29/03/2012 11:11

I'm 33 weeks.. The bladder stomp is the one that gets me too.. I always say she's doing star jumps inside me Smile

Yummymummyyobe1 · 29/03/2012 11:19

Nearly 36 weeks and even though he is head down and bum up he finds a way. The latest is to stick an arm and leg out the side and the bladder bump is his favourate there is also the rib rumba usually during the day and after sweet food. LOL. xx

Missgiraffe1 · 29/03/2012 13:43

Almost 35 weeks here and have nicknamed this wee one "the nightraver". Throws shapes all night long, meaning very little sleep for me. Although, as I am now desk bound until mat leave, and not moving about much during the day, he's also very active all day long too. I rarely go an hour without some sort of succession of kicks to the ribs or headbutt to the bladder/cervix etc. And I sometimes push his foot back in as it hurts so much (I yelped out loud in a meeting a couple of weeks ago, it was quite embarassing Blush )
I have a scan at 36 weeks, and am seriously considering asking them to check that he actually has just 2 arms and 2 legs!

Missgiraffe1 · 29/03/2012 13:44

Grin at the rib rumba Grin

Yummymummyyobe1 · 29/03/2012 13:49

Missgiraffe1 I think octopus baby's are usual. DS1 loves his rib rumba, followed by the bladder bop and pelvic Pasodoble. He has his moves down to a T. xx

Benaberry · 29/03/2012 23:13

22+4 and this one's definitely already an octopus baby; especially first thing in the morning, and when I've sat down in the evening. DS1 was also extremely bouncy, remember comparing bump to something out of Alien when I was about 27/28 weeks with him, just constant movements, bits poking out and visible thumps (we used to play the remote control game too!)

RachelWalsh · 29/03/2012 23:18

Another one here, he seems to have one very favourite position which seems to involve digging a wee elbow in to the side, almost feels like a bruise! Generally jigging about a lot of the time though.

He is also very good at knowing the exact moment I have said "look at this" to his dad at which point he immediately stops moving!

salempickles · 30/03/2012 08:43

Yep mine knows as soon as i say "look at this" it stops moving!

i read something the other day about if you have an orgasm before you go to sleep it will quiet the baby down, something to do with the uterus having slight spazms and it relaxes the baby. cannot bear the thought of sex at the moment (severe spd and i can just about walk) so if anyone is willing to try it do let me know how you get on

I've barely had any decent sleep last night because of my 'inmate' partying 3/4 of the night. I'm 26 weeks, and he/she favours her foot/fist pounding my foof Shock
