12+1 and morning sickness getting worse

I really thought I'd be out of the woods by now but am feeling worse with each passing day. I had only been nauseous and retching until about 11 weeks but then the puking start and I'm now puking several times daily and feeling hideously queasy all the time. I puked on the bus the other day; puked on my DS's head this morning (he insisted on sitting on my knee while I was having my breakfast - bad idea!) and puked on the street near work this morning Blush.

Anyone else had their MS deteriorate so late on and, if so, when did things begin to pick up for you?

I had awful, awful nausea from 6 weeks to about 9/10 then it got and then actual being sick began. Was awful - though in my case not 'worse' than the nausea on it's own which was just unremitting - at least when I was sick it gave me 5/10 mins of relief afterwards. One of the worst things about mine was the lack of predictability; which meant I was constantly scared it was going to happen in the street/ on the bus. On the bus was the worst but I did manage to leap off first!

Anyway, not sure how much hope this will give you but mine went at 18 weeks. At 16 and 17 I had a couple of days off and kept telling people 'it's gone!' only to then have an appalling day the next day, but I'm currently 20+6 and nothing for a couple of weeks now, and the relief is immense!

I do understand your pain - I was absolutely dying for 12ish weeks to arrive as the salvation and I remember writing a similar post on here asking 'when?!!!!' 16-18 seemed quite a popular response, for those whose went into second tri, both here and in RL. A couple said later but that seemed quite rare.

Fingers crossed it will be better for you soon. Personally I've been really nervous about this preg and took solace in reassuring myself that every time I threw up it showed what a healthy baby I clearly had growing - the worse the sick the stronger she was growing! It actually worked to cheer me up I have to say! x

oh dear :(

if it makes you feel any better, i was at my worst at 13 weeks and now, at 14+4, i can finally cook dinner again and actually sit down to eat with DH.

the end may yet be in sight for you! i know how dreadful it is. you poor thing. i remember at 10 weeks thinking "i am never doing this again", it really it horrid.

Thanks for your replies. I really hope I'm like you oikopolis. I think my DH will have left me if I'm still this miserable in 4-6 weeks.

Wow, DDsmummytobe I'm really impressed that you could look so positively on sickness that lasted so long.

Hope the rest of both your pregnancies are very happy and healthy. Miss P x
