Has anyone found a good nursery chair for feeding?

Probably in the wrong section, but hey ho Smile

Our nursery is only a wee box room so I don't want the massive glider chairs like this.

Last time we had an Ikea Poang which is good value and comfortable, but too difficult to get in and out of with a sleeping baby!

What have you got? (and don't tell me about the FABULOUS little find in your local flea market please Wink)

What I'd buy would be antique Lloyd Loom nursing chair, prices vary, about £70 for a nice one. Straight back, no arms, low seat.
I just feed her in bed at night though and we manage on the sofa in the day with a pillow under her.

To be honest, I just use a chair from the dining table! I sit on the couch during the day, but at night I know if I was in a nice big squishy chair, I'd just doze off there and not make it back to bed!

lie down on the bed to nurse... its perfect! no sore back and no cash outlay :)

or else just get a nice pillow and use a chair that you already have.

the glider chairs look lovely and i would love one too, but space and cash dont come free...

I've not managed to BF my first two DCs, and while I really hope it works this time, we may be on bottle feeds so may not be able to lie down!

I take your point about ordinary chairs and pillows though.

TW, I had a quick google of Lloyd Loom chairs and only got wicker versions?? I can see the shape you mean though.

Yes, they are sort of like whicker. They seem to be exactly the right shape.

This is the best modern version, but they're pricy and don't come up on ebay too often.

ah yes, I've sat on one of those (can't remember where) and wondered at the lack of arms - I always used to rest baby on a pillow against the arm of the chair/sofa so that my arm didn't ache.

Are they really comfortable to feed in without arm rests?

Possibly a dim question here but why no arms on the chairs? I'd have thought having arms would be ideal - otherwise you've got to spend 4 hours a day holding baby's head/ body at a funny angle and you'll end up with exhausted arms.

I lie baby on my lap and hold my boob with the hand at baby's head end.
I cannot feed in a chair with arms.
As a nursing chair is low, no pillow is then required to lift baby to breast, so there wouldn't be much weight to support I'd have thought?
