it probably will turn.
spend as much time as you can on a birthing ball, and on all fours.

avoid sitting on the settee - sit on a dining chair instead (preferably backwards with your legs either side of the back.

all recommended in the ante natal class.

Mine was back to back and i've turned her, i'm 37 weeks now just hope she stays this way lol

I'm a sloucher so i've made a mssive effort not to be, i've got a cushion on my car seat, sit on my birthing ball all the time, and instead of slouching on the settee i sit on a dining room chair reversed with my arms over the back of it or i kneel on the floor and lean the top half of my body on my ball, basically anything to swing the babys weight forwards

Whem mine was back to back my midwife said it wasnt a problem either but ive read that they have to turn in labour making it longer and you labour 'in your back' also more chance of forceps etc. My friend had a back to back baby and didnt need forceps but she had a 36 hour labour

thanks ladies iv got a bit drama queen about it thinking its the end of the world really long painfull labour with lots of intervention like my first but I know some people have had back to back babies and said it was no different.
so I will think posotive!

Please try not to worry too much. My first was back to back and I was lucky enough to only be in labour 4 hours. U didn't need any intervention either. I tried with ds2 to avoid slouching in the sofa to stop it happening again but the little devil was breech so ended up with an elcs.
All I can offer is advice. With ds1 I was very active. Didn't get onto my back until I had to push. (foot on the midwives hips) and I think gravity helped him along. He was quite big too at 9lb 4

If it helps, my friend had a back to back labour and it only lasted 5 hours and was a natural birth...

Lean forward over footstool or similar whilst kneeling. Worked for me, was halfway through labour when he turned.

I had a back to back birth, no forceps, 9lbs 14oz. I bounced on a birthing ball when I got to hospital but things progressed so quickly it had little effect. I have been told that your pelvis can have an effect on the position of your baby too (I have since found out mine was very wonky). Also bear in mind that if your baby is back to back apparently contractions do not come in such a regular pattern so I held off going into hosiptal for 40 hrs. I will definitely be ball bouncing this time and following the other tips!

thank you for all the replies I feel a bit less freaked out now!

my friends lending me a birthing ball to bounce on in the evening so hoping that will help.
