Exhausted! Help!

i am completely and utterly exhausted! I have 3 more weeks at work and really dont know how I am going to make it. My eyes have been closing since I got up and my whole body is just exhausted. Does anyone have any suggestions to get my energy levels back up? I dont want to be written off in the office as the lazy pregnant one or give expectant ladies a bad name!

Swwetpea I am right there with you, although only have 6 working days to go. Have you been drinking plenty of water as dehydration can make it worse I find getting up and walking around helps also. Other then that get plenty of rest when you can. xx

have you tried lucozade or lucozade tablets to perk you up. have you concidered finishing work any earlier or having a couple of days off to re coup?

Have you had your iron levels checked recently? Anaemia would make the tiredness worse. I don't know what might help, I had to finish work early due to feeling so ill and tired

Like others have said, water, lucozade and some fresh air walks if possible.

When I had my first I started having power naps. Literally where ever you are, if you can, get comfy, and set your alarm for twenty minutes time.

You might think 'twenty frigging minutes-I need 20 hours' Grin but I promise if you gave two or more a day you should feel a lot better.

I still have them now. Albeit about once a week. But they really freshen you up.

If you're exhausted at this stage it might be your body's way of telling you to slow down and rest more. You must need it. Can you finish work early?

Yup I agree with boysboysboys power naps are the way forward! 20 minutes is enough to wake u up a little but not too much so u wake up feeling even more sleepy than you started off!

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 20/03/2012 18:15

I make a hot brew. Close the curtains. Set the alarm for twenty mins time. Get comfy and close my eyes. Sit up as soon as the alarm goes off and drink my tea.

Sometimes I might get ten mins sleep, sometimes I go straight to sleep. But you do get used to switching off and getting the nap.

It's short enough to rest your brain, eyes and body, but too short for you to enter the second sleep phase so you wake up feeling refreshed rather than tired.

How was work today?

Sweetpea5 · 20/03/2012 22:02

Thanks for the advice! I will give the naps a try but usually I can not sleep during the daytime no matter how tired I am. Maybe I need to train myself into it.

Intresting about dehydration, maybe Im not drinking enouhg - just so busy at work its hard to remember. Tomorrow ill be better!

I cant finish work early unfortunately. I would love to though!

Yummymummy - 6 das to go :) Lucky lucky you! Good luck Wine
