Just been ito Mothercare and discovered their back sizes stop at 40. I am already a 42e so I just wondered where to go for bras. Guessing M and S ok for pregnancy but what about feeding?

Have you tried looking online at Hot Milk bras? They are really nice, and cater for bigger sizes, though I don't know if all styles are available in all sizes. You can buy them online, or there are various retailers with RL shops dependin on where you live. There is a stockist list on the website www.hotmilklingerie.com

Are you really a 42? Is that your measurement, or is that with 4 inches added as per the M&S bonkers method?

Google 'nursing bras UK', fab website with loads of larger sized nursing bras.

scarborough, I have just received some from Figleaves.
I have ordered a Goddess Alice and a Goddess non-wired. Need to send back the Alice as it is too small in the cup.

There is a bit on the website about getting the size right too, which you may want to look at.
IMO M&S are crap at bra fitting.

Catsycat · 16/03/2012 15:41

Ali glad it's not just me. Mothercare and M&S make me a 40. I'm actually a 36 (well, if I want the bra to fit, and not wriggle up into an arc between my shoulder blades, that is).

scarborough84 · 16/03/2012 16:39

So maybe I'm not a 42 after all. Feel much better now.

IME if M&S or Mothercare have measured you as a 42E, then you will be a 38F/38FF.

That at least would be a good starting point for you to try things on.

This is the website I referred to earlier, they are brilliant. Loads of choice in big cup sizes and quick delivery. And they accept returns for a month, so you can try things on and send them back. Delivery is only £1 so it isn't prohibitive to order and return a few times.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/03/2012 16:50

Sorry I meant 38G/GG.

scarborough84 · 16/03/2012 16:52

That would make more sense as before my weight gain I was a 32f.

Have you tried Bravissimo? If you can't get to one of their stores order over the phone as the ladies in the call centre are trained in fitting over the phone and they know which makes and styles come up big/small.

lisakell · 16/03/2012 17:19

Try Simplybe.co.uk - not a huge range but they fit well and their measuring guide is easy. For softer nursing bras to sleep in Asda do a twinpack for about £10 which have a surprisingly decent shape and amount of support - very plain but ideal for nightime / under t-shirts when you aren't planning to leave the house. I'm pretty sure they go up to a 42.

Try Envie online. I bought a Bravissimo one last week which is where I usually go but its going back as its so itchy! I googled and came up with this company. Phoned them today and the lady was so helpful and helped me choose the most suitable bras for me and I am a 36GG!

I am larger Hoover lady going from 34j to 36 k/l. I got reasonably priced and quick delivery of nursing bras.co.UK
