What protein could you eat whilst suffering from morning sickness?

I follow a high-protein eating plan and am struggling at the moment as I'm suffering from nausea and don't really fancy much protein (other than nuts which I can't eat as my bf'ing DS is allergic to them).

Ironically, the more protein I eat, the less sick I feel, but it's getting protein in the first place which is hard.

Breakfast is the worst - I normally eat eggs, but I feel at the prospect now.

What protein were you able to eat whilst nauseous?

Chicken soup for me, which I would never normally buy!

When my sickness was bad I managed salty things and snacked on pistachio nuts, can't bear the thought of them now right enough!

You can buy lactase enzyme tablets at holland and barrett, it's the same stuff your gut would produce if you had the genetic mutation which most Europeans have allowing you to digest dairy in adulthood. :)

It's widely marketed in the states, but no one here seems to ever have heard of it. Confused

Thanks, yes I do use lactase tablets (they're brilliant) but I can only take 3 a day, and I need 2 to eat one portion of cheese, so they don't go very far.

I agree though - I only heard about them through some US websites.

I didn't go very long without a couple of cocktail sausages or a ham sandwich - I could only manage a quarter sandwich at a time or one wee sausage, very little portions were the only way I was able to eat anything at all until about 20 weeks.

How about cottage pie, or shepherd's pie? The mash can help you "disguise" the mince in there, so you can get the stomach settling properties of the carbs a
whilst still getting some meat in there.
I found that things made with mince (such as meatballs) were a lot easier to face than say a steak.
