Basically my DS has just started being sick tonight, he's just under 3 and very 'mummys boy' when he's poorly, so I have to somehow pluck up the courage (I have a phobia of sickness bugs and being sick) and comfort him..but now I'm worrying as I'm 33+3 weeks and worrying that if I catch it I could go into pre term labour?

Sickness bugs tend to be spread via the oro-faecal route. ie, droplets of vomit or faeces transfer via your mucous membranes (lips/mouth etc).

I nursed norovirus patients when I was pg with DD and was very careful to practice VERY strict hygiene. Handwashing very thoroughly - alcohol gels don't kill the virus so don't bother. Just be aware of what you're touching, things like touching your mouth etc. I never caught the bug incidentally and I was cohort baying patients with it. It isn't a given that you'll get it.

Really hope your DS is better soon, these things tend to be short and sharp.
