So I hear Primark nighties are worth getting

For labour and for BFing at night.

Are they nighties for pregnant ladies, or do you just buy a really big size?

And is it the fleece ones that are meant to be good for co sleeping? Will they still have those in stock at this time of year?

Thanks :)

I just got a really big size (xl is like 20-22, whereas I would normally buy a 16)
It isn't a fleece one - that would be way too hot! Just a £4.50 cotton one with buttons that can be undone. You do not want fleece in the hospital either I wouldn't have thought - hospitals are like saunas!

I've just got one for labour and delivery. It's not the sort of thing I'd wear in bed for sleeping normally. I've got some nice maternity pjs from mothercare, they have a camisole top with nursing clips on the straps.

Good Lord no, the fleece one isn't for labour - I was starkers last time and I intend to be this time too! And hopefully at home again, so not too hot either.

I was thinking cheap and cotton for early labour, and then off with it. And if it doesn't make it off it can just go in the bin after.

I was told the fleece ones are good for co-sleeping, as you can't have a duvet over you and the baby, so they make sure you're warm on top. And then cotton ones for when it gets warmer, so if they unbutton that's perfect.

I had a camisole-type nighty last time for BF and it just couldn't take the weight of my boobs Blush so I want something a bit more solid this time, that will hide my hideous BF bra under it.

I think I'll try to find my nearest one and go and have a look, thanks :)

I got a heap from Matalan which have buttons at the front and are apparently great for breasfeeding, and one to chuck in the bin after labour!

Duvets and co sleeping. I keep hearing this.
DD slept in the crook of my arm just down from my pillow and just under the edge of the quilt perfectly happily without getting to hot or having the quilt over her head.

All the raising a fuss about co sleeping and therefore stressing out mothers trying to BF makes meAngry and yes a bit likely to rant!

Back on topic, DD2 has had some very hard wearing PJs from Matlan wash really well.

Ah there's a Matalan much closer so I'll start there, thanks!

I kept the duvet last time startail, but I did wake up at least once and find DS under it, which was really scary. So I thought I might just avoid it completely this time.
