Awful leg pain at night - is this a circulation thing?

My legs were uncomfortable during the day yesterday and I kept moving them about (as if on aeroplane) to make more comfortable.
At about 2am this morning I was woken by a really awful pain in both upper legs (and one arm!) And spent the next hour walking about my living room to try to relieve it. At 3am it stopped, to my great relief.
Is this something that might keep happening? Should I see a doctor about it?
I haven't had a great pregnancy and this new pain is really the icing on the cake for me!

Have made a doc's appointment.
No doubt he'll just laugh at me, but I've really had all I can take Sad

I would see a doctor or nurse at least. No harm done to check on these things, and no-one will laugh at you. Do you have long to wait for your appointment?

Thanks Eightieschick, just till half ten. I managed to visit the doctor and triage last week, hence why I think they'll have a giant "hypochondriac" written across my notes!
Haven't had a decent night's sleep for 9 nights due to coughing, so the leg pain was the last straw.

Is it cramping? I am pregnant with DC2 and in this pregnancy and my last I suffer with really bad leg cramps in the middle of the night to the extent I have to get up to walk around to ease the pain. According to MW it is completely normal and is the baby taking all the nutrients from you. Was recommended to ensure I drink lots of fluid and eat bananas.

Try some tonic water (has to have quinine in) before bed, has really helped with my leg cramp. Might help you?

Thanks guys, it's not as intense as a cramp but longer lasting! I'll get some tonic (shame can't stick a gin in!)
I did see the GP who poked at my legs but couldn't see anything wrong. Least she didn't think it was DVT which was my worry I think.
