Just back from hospital, got early scan.....upset

HI, had pain earlier so went to triage, where I waited for hours. Going on first day of my last period...which was 11th January, I thought I'd be 6 weeks this Tuesday, but, I didn't get a positive test until around three days after my period was due, n it was so faint, now tests are very strong. The hospital scanned me, couldn't see anything yet :( and they took blood from me, they said I'm either too early pregnant that they can't see baby yet, or it could be an ectopic pregnancy :( am scared stiff.....to phone for blood results tomorrow at four to check the pregnancy hormone is still doubling, to go back on Tuesday for more bloods, n they'll keep tracing me until they see something in the uterus, worried sick :( have a history of 3mc's, 1 'normal' mc and 2 mmc, also have a dd, 10 and a ds, nearly 5

I don't think there are any right words for situations like this. I know my poor dp would be wrong whatever he said. All they can do is try to be supportive. Its as much a waiting game for them as it is for you.

Hey all, well I spoke to the hospital, they said my bloods are what they would expect them to be Grin and I've to go in for a scan tomorrow. She said i must've just been too early to see. Praying they see it this time. Xx

Oh that's such good news, I just came looking for an update. I remember the relief of getting the same news when I was in your position. I'm sure they'll find something small and wriggly on the scan this time. I don't know enough about it but from what's been said on here the bloods wouldn't be right if it was ectopic so I think you can stop worrying now.

Bet your DF is relieved and happy too :)

Hope the scan goes well let us know tomorrow

Hey! Grin yeah, that is right, the bloods wouldn't be right if it was ectopic, so I think they've ruled that out. She said that on Sunday they didn't see anything
Cos they think it's just been too early. Soo I'm hoping and praying I see something on scan tomorrow Smile it will put my mind at rest. Big time. Me and DF are hugely relieved but will be even more so if the baby is seen tomorrow xx everything crossed

Soooooo relieved that they have ruled out an ectopic!!! That is very good news. Im sure that the scan will be more fruitful this time. What time is your scan?

Hi Lucylucy well I THINK they've ruled out ectopic....I am soo scared about today, feel sick, I really hope I see the baby today. Scan is at 1.30 xx

Hey everyone Grin I am five and a half weeks pregnant! Yolk sac seen, too early for baby to be seen, said all looks healthy so far....to go back on the 2nd March, ds's 5th birthday (hoping that's a sign!) and she said they should hopefully see the baby by then Grin xxx
