Madhouse, they're pretty much the same thing but a different method. You can not still be pregnant. I think you could still have retained tissue and if you were passing clots or feeling unwell you need to go back to your GP.

Its a horrible time and I'm sorry for your loss. Do you have any support in RL?

A few years, it's just an (awful) new name, AFAIK. I'm sorry for your loss. Sometimes hormones take a while to settle down. Some people advise doing another pg test if you can face it, if you're still getting a BFP you still have the hormones running round you which will make you feel pregnant. I'm afraid you cannot still be pregnant, but if you don't feel right go back to your GP. It can take anywhere from 5 days to 6 weeks to get a BFN, from what I've heard.

Unfortunately it will take a while for your HCG levels to drop. Until they do you may continue to experience pregnancy symptoms. your levels should halve about every 2 days if the ERPC was successful. If there is any retained tissue then your levels may level off or drop more slowly.

An ERPC is a procedure carried only when there is a missed miscarriage and will remove the miscarried embryo/fetus plus the uterine lining. A d&c can be done on a non pregnant woman and involves effectively scraping the uterine wall to remove the uterine lining , it is the same procedure done on differently situated woman.

Sorry for your loss. I have had 4 miscarriages and it never gets easier .
