hi, I am being induced for medical reasons at 38 weeks and I am aware it can take a while. I was just wondering if my dh will be able to stay overnight with me if nothing is happening?

ciwi, just wanted to second howards comment. I was induced via drip and it all went v quickly - 10 hour labour - at no time was DH told to go home. (It was evening too, by the time they got everything ready!) But as you know, I was an emergency job :)

So if they do the same with you, I would think your DH would stay.

My induction was booked for 8am and my dh was told to be there then although arrived at 9.30 with mcdonalds breakfast...he was allowed to stay!

Hope your DH can stay, Ciwi. I'm trying to persuade the hospital to let DH stay after the CS...think this may well be a losing battle but worth a try. I've been told that CS mums are usually in a 4 bed ward, so he definitely can't stay there, only if I get a private room, which may not be available on the day.
