32 weeks: is a head down baby always this uncomfy??!

So I'm thrilled that my baby has turned and his head is down...I was born breech, and my mother has regaled me with many lovely stories about what a treat that was for her!

But now I feel like I am being constantly beaten up and pretty uncomfortable on the underside of my bump. A week ago I felt amazing; now I am exhausted.

I was measured 28cm at 28 weeks, so growth wise, baby is bang on track (well done, little man!)

It seems a little early for all this - does this mean the baby may come early, or should I just get used to 2 months of increasing discomfort? It's ok - I can deal with the truth!

just sit up straight to give baby plenty of room.

i find slouching more ouchey.

mine is breech i think, as have a hard lump under my ribs. i had a few days where it wasnt hurting and i think baby went head down then, but seems to have flipped back. scan next week so will find out then i guess

yeah pretty much! sorry.

it's even better when baby drops down and you feel like you're sitting on a bowling ball the whole time! Grin

isn't pregnancy great?

Me too! 32 weeks and head down with DC4, but can't remember being kicked with such force, not sure its any indication of them coming any earlier just that they naturally flip that way.

Is it your first? I am planning another home birth so got fingers crossed it stays in this position even given the discomfort!

More slouchy more ouchy - love it! Better get on my gym ball, and start preparing my body properly, rather than slumping on the sofa eating chocolates... :) I wonder if there's anything else that'll help with the discomfort. Anyone heard of or know anything about bump supports?

And yes, it is my first, so I was naive and full of expectation for a wonderful, calm and pain-free final trimester. Oh well.

The bowling ball sounds awesome btw. I'll look forward to it!

...and I'm still going to hold out for a 38/39 weeker. A girl can dream!

i will say the last trimester is great for your posture lol. except for when the waddle kicks in when the head drops down. oh that is fun and so seeeexy!

just remember, you are in the final stretch now, space is at a premium, and anyway you find comfort is good. with dd4 i spent most evenings laying on the sofa, watching trashey tv and refusing to move.
