Wondering if anyone can help me. I am not sure what slow labour means and how do u know u are having one and that they are just not braxton hicks.

I have been having regular painful contractions for days now. Lasting hours but then they just disappear. They are not increasing in pain or length.

They are making me so irritable and tired though.

I think it's a slow labour if it becomes established labour at some point. I had painful and strong braxton hicks for weeks at the end of my pregnancy, I knew it was braxton hicks in hindsight as I never went into labour and was induced in the end.

If they've been regular ask your midwife to check you out, it could be latent/early labour, this can be exhausting but could mean things get started in the coming days. Do everything you can to relax and rest would be my advice. Best of luck.
