NHS maternity pay when part time?

I don't have a copy of the maternity policy so hoping someone can help me out. This is 2nd pregnancy and went back to work (band 6 ) at 25hrs per week. Just started mat leave and I know we get 8 weeks full pay plus 18 weeks half pay and SMP. Is the SMP the same no matter how many hours you work?

Just trying to budget and want to get it straight in my baby brain head!

Thanks

SMP depends on the mount of money you earn between basically the 17 - 25 weeks of your pregnancy (or the 8 weeks before the 15th week before your EDD as they like put it!) As long as your average pay over this period is over the threashold (something like £110 per week when I had my last) then you qualify for full SMP. HMRC website has a calculator that will tell you all you need to know and their staff are very helpful if you need some assistance with it.

Thanks chynah that is what I thought which makes half pay plus £500 or so SMP pretty good pay which was not what I was expecting! This could be dangerous as the 30%off Gap voucher arrived in my inbox this evening!

Thanks for your help
