Blimey seems all my threads lately are after advice or whinging about ill health. This one's both Grin.

Am 32+2 and last couple of days have just felt very strange, kind of a constant low level nausea and lightheadedness. I don't know if it's from getting further along in the pregnancy and the baby getting bigger but I don't remember feeling like this last time. I tried to speak to a mw who lost interest as soon as I said the baby has been moving loads and just told me to take paracetamol and rest. Could it be a virus, being run down from looking after toddler DS who has been unwell for the last 10 or so days, or something more serious? I'm genuinely worried i'm going to pass out, I have to sit down after stupidly short amounts of time where normally I can take DS out for a walk in the buggy for a couple of hours at a time.

I had a weird moment yesterday where my heart rate went quite fast, I felt shakey and I needed to have something sugary to 'calm down', had a load of fruit and a couple of DS's rusks. Is that to do with blood sugar levels?

Can't believe how often i've been ill this pregnancy :(

Could it be low iron? Spatone iron supplements are really good, available from Boots. Could also be low blood sugar or low blood pressure. Might be worth geting checked out.

I would go to your gp or give your out of hrs gp a ring and get your bp and urine checked just to be on the safe side and to put your mind at ease. You know how you normally feel and what is not normal for you. It may well be a virus or low bp but it's best to be safe. I am surprised that your midwife isn't more cautious with ladies who are feeling 'odd' in their 3rd trimester. I had pre-eclampsia on my two previous pregnancies and I was told that if I felt strange in any way to go straight in to be checked out.

I am 33 w and have felt a lot like that recently - but on and off and not consistently. I think it's extra hard work for your heart. I have felt faint and very light headed and weak. Also don't remember it with DD1 pregnancy. My sister (who has had 3) has told me it's normal, but you could ask gp if genuinely worried

Paracetamol does seem to make me feel a bit more 'normal' but not completely. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving today, fortunately I didn't have to. I'll see how I feel tomorrow and if I still feel funny i'll go see the gp though i'm used to just being fobbed off by them regardless of which one I see (there's lots at my surgery).

I am 33 weeks and have started to feel 'odd' recently. Very tired and a bit spaced out, sometimes I feel totally 'out of it'. I'm still working and sometimes I just feel like I'm in a mental fog. Yuck.

I tried the Spatone and initially it was brilliant and gave me a big boost, but now back to total knackerdness again.

Not sure if it's just this stage of pregnancy or what. In your case I would see the GP though, as you're feeling faint. I've noticed the midwives can be quite 'eye-rolling' about pregnancy complaints, GPs tend to take things a bit more seriously (or at least consider them properly before telling you it's nothing!)
