Palpitations - when to get checked out?

I posted a while ago about palpitations in pregnancy... I had an ECG at hospital and I'm going to have an echo as they heard a heart murmur which I didn't know existed.

While in hospital, of course the palpitations settled and it wasn't traced. At that point I was getting them infrequently but since then I have them every day, usually in the evenings, and get 'runs' of them.

I seem to be having more than usual this afternoon. Not painful and I don't feel unwell, just a slight discomfort with the palpitation almost like my heart is shifting to one side... It seems to be missing a beat and then the next beat is bigger to compensate. If that makes any sense Confused

I can't decide if I need to go back to the hospital and get checked over. They told me if it got worse to return - they aren't worse in terms of discomfort, but definitely in frequency. If I was on my own it wouldn't be a problem, but I am on my own with my 4 yo and the school run to do in less than an hour for the other two DCs.

Why is life soooooo complicated??!!!

Get it checked. Better to be safe than sorry.

did they do a 24hr trace?

It kind of settled again so I left it... pointless going if they aren't going to catch it on the ECG. But, of course, it has started up again now! I'll see how it goes tomorrow and if I get another run of it I'll go to A&E.
Thanks for the support :)

i kicked up a stink went in pretty much everyday to antenatal in the end they said to me we cant help you because pregnancy wise you are fine, we will move you over to cardio.
i have had a trace done now. unfortunately i had a great day no symptoms but if it comes back i will go back spent to long feeling like crap. make sure you dont do the typical "oh im fine" crap and wait until you are so run down and scared.

I think you've hit the nail on the head patsdeadfrank... its too easy as a mummy to sweep everything under the carpet, head down and get on with things so that the children are sorted with as little disruption as possible! I wonder if its just worse because my amnio is on Thursday; I feel quite calm and seem to be thinking logically about everything - I wonder if subconsciously I am terrified and that's the stress playing its toll.

I'm not alone later today when the runs of palpitations happen so I'll go down to A&E if they start up again.
