Baby has been transverse for weeks and weeks now and seems quite happy in that position! I'm getting on for 32 weeks and wondering what the chances are he/she will go head down in the next month. Any experiences?

I'm now trying to sit on a birth ball as much as possible and will start spending time on my hands and knees every day (although haven't started yet). The GP was pretty scathing and said it wouldn't help though...her view was he/she would either do it of it's own accord or it's a c-section for me (she seemed to think I should be happy about the prospect of getting this 'easy' option - although it's totally opposite to what my ideal birth would be...)

TIA!

Mine's been allover the place. Oblique, transverse, OP, full breech. She was OP for about 9 days about 2 weeks ago, but she's currently being a good, if bashy engaged LOA. I'm 40+2 now, so there's still plenty to hope for!
Have a look at the Inversion technique on the Spinning Babies website. It seems to be the one that worked for me with positioning baby.

Swimming a few times a week might also help.
No guarantees, but you never know. You still have plenty of time.

Thanks Oeisha - I'm certainly going to try that move in that case!

Mine is a busy, wriggly little thing, but has only moved slightly from oblique to fully transverse and then back to oblique again for the last few weeks. It feels like his/her arms and legs are trying to push their way out of my sides half the time! We keeping telling bub it can't get out that way so it's going to have to turnGrin

Reassuring to hear your LO has got itself into the right position in time. Hoping mine is as obliging, as you say, few weeks to go yet!

You must be getting excited - any day now!

Brief moments of excitment followed by being uncomfy, grumpy or generally tearful because I'm being assaulted from the inside. Keep showing bump the pram in the hopes she gets the hint!
I think at your stage I was transverse/oblique depending on, err, I have no idea, I think it was whatever the hell she fancied and how recently she'd been tormented by a CTG (was in hospital for a bit and she goes mental on CTGs).
FX for you. I'm sure your bumpus will oblige. They probably won't get too excited until 36wks as there's still plenty of time and room. And even then there's always an ECV to look in to.

I had reflexology with one of mine at 36 then 38 weeks as he'd been transverse for weeks. The second session she worked harder at turning him which he did that afternoon and was born the following morning after a 3 hour labour ...!
