Oooh, this thread is making me feel a tad unorganised! Blush

Er, I'm 28 weeks and haven't got a jot - unless you include the maternity jeans I treated myself to last week. Maybe I'm kidding myself but April seems ages away ... hmm, although it is only two pay days away so must get into gear start a list!

Well done to all you organised mummies!

Am now 21+3, and so far I've refused point blank to buy anything until my 30th birthday is out of the way (when I'll be 27-28 weeks). But it's getting really hard to resist...

DP's mum bought a bouncer and had it delivered to us before I'd even had the dating scan. My mum's bought a couple of clothing sets that were on offer and a baby sleeping bag so far.

On my first pregnancy I bought far to much, the amount of clothes I bought ds was unreal and I mostly put him in cute baby gros for the first month so it was such a waste. I am determined not to do that this time but cannot help myself from wanting every cute little thing Blush

When the baby arrived.

MissCoffee Why was that? An early arrival, or superstition or something else?

MissCoffeeNWine · 18/01/2012 21:06

Nope, she was late, and I'm not superstitious. I have lost two pregnancies, but even if I hadn't I dn't see the point of having things hanging around the place when you don't have a baby yet. They need very, very little and I'm lucky enough to live in the city where whatever you need is available. We were already indundated with tiny outfits. When we needed something else we just went out and got it (though I can't think of much really).

I'm 30 weeks and the only thing we've bought for the baby so far was an on-sale "baby's first wardrobe" box for £5 that they had at Mother Care when I went for a maternity belt when my SPD got worse at 24 weeks (typically £25, so it seemed worth it). I'm kind of a little superstitious that if we start buying lots of stuff, that will somehow 'jinx' things. But I think I'm getting over that now, and I need to, as we need stuff like somewhere for the baby to sleep and a car seat to get her home, at the very least!
