Total waste of time.

Get a normal wardrobe instead and you can use it for ever.

Waste of money imo, either get a nice regular wardrobe which you can keep for ages or stick to drawers to begin with and decide later what will best suit you.

A nursery only stays a nursery for a very short while, then its a little boy/girls room and you will need all the storage space you can get!

Waste of time.

Ds has a chest of drawers - only things we hang are his coats. Also we didn't have a nursery until he moved into his own room at 6/7 months, then next thing you know he's a 2 year old so normal furniture was fine.

I got a wardrobe for DD... it was quite essential I think because of all the dresses and things, and not having to iron them on getting them out of the drawer ;)

But, I'm lazy.

We have always used a normal size wardrobe which has some shelving on top of the hanging space.

I always hang all his clothes to dry (never need to iron!) and then to his wardrobe.

Waste of time. Just have a nice big chest of drawers. My DD had a few gorgeous girly dresses but you can just hang them up in your own wardrobe.

We bought a normal wardrobe then half way down put an extendable shower curtain pole up and used it as a 2nd rail.

Then when their clothes get to long to use both rails you can take it out and theres no holes in the wood.

They are about £8 in Wilkinsons or ebay

We got one from Mamas & Papas that has 2 rails, so whilst she's small, we can have 2 rows, then when she's older, the lower rail is removable, and you have longer hanging space. Contrary to the other posters, I hang a lot of dd's clothes. I find it easier to see what she's got that way, & also useful for things she's yet to grow into, as I don't forget about them!

We got a single wardrobe 2nd hand, and have hung 2 of these from the rail bit:

which I'm hoping should be really good for keeping small baby clothing bits separate & uses up the wasted hanging space!

I used aviemore furniture from argos. A tallboy wardrobe with drawers for hanging and extra drawers, bedside table for socks/bibs etc and chest of drawers that i put changing mat on until she could roll. All now still used for her at 3.

Normal wardrobe + tension bars (baby clothes really don't weigh like adults)= wardrobe with many bars to hang. You can also stick some drawers in the bottom, or get a 'mans' wardrobe (ie it has a chest of drawers with a wardrobe bit on top). That way, you can move the bars about as desired.
