For me its indian food, once a week we'd get a curry, onion bhajis the works and my dp would basically have to fight me off to get a share, now though even just writing down onion bhajis made me boark! ive battled on tryin to finish my whole plate since getting pg, but since the last on new years eve, i spent the night waiting to throw so have backed down, its probably a good hing so i wont get even fatter but still its my worst nightmare come true! i cant eat indian but all of a sudden am in love with sprouts?????

Please tell me this feeling goes away, i need currys in my life!!!

At the start of pregnancy I went off everything with any kind of flavour and lived on toast and ice pops, (yet still gained weight Confused )
Now I'm 34 weeks and can eat most things except crisps, especially cheese and onion, I used to be a crisp fiend. I do eat a lot more chocolate than I used to though and fruit, about 7 pieces a day!

It nearly brought me to tears when I found out that my very favourite fish of all time, char-grilled sardines was making me feel sick :(
I usually go back to Portugal in summer time just for the pleasure of eating them fresh out of the sea, but they made me feel so bad that when I went back again at Christmas and my mum offered to make a special dish of salted sardines I had to refuse just in case I couldn't eat them again!

I've gone off booze completely. I can't even have a sip - it turns me all funny. Even wetting my lips with a glass of something makes the baby do massive contortions and kicks too, and it is really uncomfortable, so I don't bother. Not a bad thing, especially as I'm consuming lots of calories in the form of hot chocolates and cake!

I am massively off GARLIC - yukkkk! It is usually my fave thing in the world! I banned DH from even cooking garlic bread last night. I am also off salad and olive oil/dressing. Same thing happened to me last time. I just want to eat plain boring/unhealthy food like white bread and crisps -the opposite of what I usually like. Mmmm and pickles :)

Couldn't stand those cartons of soup (I was trying to be healthy when I got pregnant....it didn't last) I never got sickness with dd, not properly anyway, I was sick a little bit after eating cereal a couple of times but when I had cereal again a couple of weeks later I was fine Hmm. But its since I had dd I can't stand fresh tomatoes, I don't know why, now they just taste..wrong? I'm fine eating tomato puree, passata etc.

I went off food all together until I was about 15 weeks I was hungry but just didn't fancy anything I was driving dp crazy he would cook and I'd take a few bites and be done. Now at 35 weeks I think we need to put locks on the fridge and cupboards Im eating everything in sight I'm a danger to myself now I'm on mat leave and at home almost all day..

Even typing this is making me feel quesy, but mine is wholegrains! How weird is that?! I have lovely lumpy wholegrain bread for lunch every day and then suddenly booark! Awful, but thought it was just the bread so took grainy crackers into work the next day, didn't think much of it, opened the pack and as soon as they met my eyes I literally dry(luckily!) wretched in the office and ran to the loo to throw up (and I don't throw up often - normally just 24 hour futile nausea - so actually making me throw up was impressive!) Very sad about all of this - yet to find a filling, healthy replacement and stuck on stupid leafy salads for lunch. :(

Bananas are the work of the devil.... even just thinking about them is making me feel pukey (and Im now 30 weeks)

VeronicaSpeedwell · 17/01/2012 18:33

Peasandyoghurt, I think that's the weirdest one I've heard yet! Poor you Sad. Hope you find a way round it. Have you tried less grainy bread? A bagel is super smooth and chewy but not lumpy. Not as healthy, but edible maybe?
