Pregnancy yoga/Pilates DVD recommendations?

Hello all! I'm starting maternity leave relatively early (33 weeks) and I'm currently 27 weeks. Currently thinking about third trimester yoga/Pilates to keep me in shape and help in my preparation for the big day.

There's no decent courses around here, and I reckon yoga mat + DVD is a pretty good investment - but I don't want a duff one!

Anyone have any experience in this area?

I like Tara Lee's pregnancy health yoga DVD. I've been using it since second trimester (have a long term practice and I teach too). Nice and relaxing - but keeps you mobile too. She moves through fairly quickly so one thing moves quickly into another without long pauses between but this is nice once you're doing the dvd a lot as you don't have unnatural gaps.

I'm 35 weeks now and really enjoying it most now as I'm getting heavier but seems very appropriate for me so would recommend it to you.

Enjoy whatever you find Smile - I haven't looked for other DVDs or explored more - others may have different recommendations - as I enjoy this so much myself

I second Tara Lee, it has great adaptations for SPD etc. too.

Excellent! I'm not the most coordinated so hope it's simple enough for me to follow!

Just to offer an alternative - I like the 10 Minute Solution Prenatal Fitness Fix. Have been using it since second trimester, its easy enough for a non-yoga type like me to get on with.

I've got SPD/PGP and whilst this doesn't have adaptions for sufferers, I've found as long as I listen to my body I can manage the moves and that some sections really help my SPD symptoms.

spanner there isn't too many complicated instrutions which I like as you can just get on with breathing and where there is some balancing, you can use a wall so hopefully straight-forward.Grin She has a couple of very nice stretches for the spine using a wall which I often sneak into the ladies to do at work now my bump is heavy and my back aches so ahve found it a very practical DVD.

I have her post natal DVD which I'll be using in a few weeks time.

Good luck with whatever you pic - hope you find something you enjoy. Smile
