I've had SPD since around 16wks, but it got quite bad in early Dec now 28+5. I saw the midwife shortly after it got worse, and they referred me to a physio but the soonest appt they could get was in Feb!
My DH got me a cheap walking stick from Boots which has enabled me to get around taking larger than 4cm steps. At the last visit to the midwife they watched me walk and said maybe I'd do better on crutches. I was just looking online for a stool that could help me get in and out of the shower (I'm having a lot of trouble stepping over the edge of the tub), and I noticed the places that sell those also sell elbow crutches for not too much --around £18. I'm wondering if it worth it to get something like that, or if I should just wait another month for my physio appt, and see if they give/recommend any for me.
Does anyone have any advice? I feel sort of like I should wait for the medical professionals to recommend things, but then I think about how much of an amazing difference the walking stick has made, and I wonder if crutches might make a similar improvement.
