Stopped feeling as much, 23/24 weeks...When to worry?

Well, I know the placenta is at the front, and that baby is breech at the moment so I haven't ever felt a huge amount. But normally I get a few kicks at bedtime when I lie down, and sometimes a little fidgetting at other times.

But last night I didn't feel any kicks (I have probably had other nights where I haven't too to be honest but I was feeling sensitive about all sorts of things last night so was aware of it) and I don't know whether to worry? I'm sure I have felt the odd squirm today, but nothing kick like.

Do I worry? I don't know whether I am bring super paranoid! I know DD was never much of a mover until later on, but I am still a panicker!

Ring the midwife to put your mind at rest, I only ever felt ds1 kick at the top and ds2 when I laid down at the right hand side, he was born with club feet that they never picked up but you should always check less movement.

Midwife will probably tell you not to worry, because 23/24 is too early for any established pattern of kicks. They recomend to monitor them only after 28 weeks, when some pattern can be found. Rigth now you are likely not to feel most of them, especially with anterior placenta. Don't worry, but if you have time, why not to go to the hospital for the test ( exclusively for your peace of mind!)

Ninky,
My consultant explained movement to me like this:

By 20 weeks most (but not all) women begin to feel movement.
By 24 weeks most (but not all) women begin to feel daily movements (with no established pattern.
By 28 weeks most (but not all) women begin to notice patterns in their babies' daily movements.

It is still early days and your baby may just have turned slightly so you are no feeling kicks. As others have mentioned though, if you are ever really worried, it is always best to call your midwife.
