Hiya
New on here, just decided to start trying for a family but I am quite anxious because of the body shape I already have (and hate). I'm tiny, just over 5'1" and have a 30KK chest so am really worried about the possible impact of pregnancy. Will I be able to find bras to fit, will I become even more ridiculous than I currently consider myself? Has anyone started from a similar and size and how was your experience?
Thanks.

Hi

5ft 3 (nearly 4!) here. I was a 38G before pregnancy and am only 11 weeks along so far but thought I'd reply anyway - just been and got measured at M&S and they have sent me off with some 40F ones so not a huge change so far really.

My boobs have been sore and heavy by the end of the day but they normally are for half the month anyway!!!

Not noticed a huge difference yet to be honest, I guess there is a long way to go though!!

i've gone from a 30E to a 32FF at 12 weeks. last time I was 32 FF at term and then 30 GG when milk came in! i think it's very variable

I wear a 34HH and only had to go up one cup size when BFing and not at all in PG - so you may be lucky and not notice any changes.

WhenDoISleep · 03/01/2012 13:41

I was the same - 36HH before pg, 36J when breast feeding initially, settled back to 36HH after about a year (although still feeding).

Now pg with DC2 and look to be going the same way again.

PG / bf doesn't necessarily mean that you will have that big a change in breast size.

I'm a 38F/FF, and at 19wks, there's been no change in size (although they feel heavier). Then again, I know someone who was a 32DD, and went up to 32J by the time her LO was born. Everyone's different and you'll only find out when your body makes it's mind up.

I'm 5ft2 and a 38E and didn't really notice a big change to be honest - they just went hard when the milk first came in and went back to the same bras I'd worn pre pregnancy once I'd finished breast feeding. They're not quite as pert as they were before though!

I was 32F before having my DC1 and went up to 32H while feeding, but straight back to "normal" when I stopped. My friend was same size and only went up to FF so you may well get away with it!

Resign yourself to spending a LOT of money on bras and try to remember it's only temporary. I will give the underwired feeding bras a try this time as the thought of a monoboob for months again is not a fun one.

Your ribs expand during pg so you might not find it too bad if you go up to a 32 as it'll bring your cup size down relatively speaking and there is more choice in 32 than 30, as a rule. Another thing to try is getting 32 or 34s that fit in the cup and getting a tailor to take them in at the back? I have a petite friend who wears a 28 and she does this a lot.

Babies are worth it! However I am currently pg with dc2 and after this am going to go on a serious health kick in the hope of shrinking my chest (as well as the rest)...

I was a 32GG and a size 14 weighing just under 11 stone while trying to conceive, I went on a series diet as soon as I started dieting the weight came straight off my boobs, I lost about 1 and three quarter stone and felt so much more comfortable at a 32F and finally got pregnant! I am now 16 weeks pregnant, so glad I lost the weight before as my boobs have gone back up to 32GG. Have to admit I am nervous about mine getting a huge amount bigger when breast feeding if they do go a lot bigger I think it will stop me doing it for long as I will just be to uncomfortable.

Thanks everyone, some great advice and some very reassuring examples. It won't stop us trying for/having a baby but it is one of the things that has always worried me about it.
