Tight cervix

I'm currently 8+5 and just remembered the last time I had a smear test (last year) the nurse commented that I had a particularly tight cervix/ opening. Just wondering now if this could have any implications for pregnancy? Is it a good or a bad thing?

It shouldn't make any difference at all.

Is this your first baby? Most women who haven't ever had a vaginal birth have a tight/closed os (the cervical "hole" or canal that dilates during labour).

Your cervix when you're pregnant is totally different to when not. And it will change a lot towards the end of pregnancy. In fact it changes a lot on every day of your cycle when not pregnant, good website showing this here.

Im sure your cervix is perfectly normal and no "tighter" than anyone else's.
