Anyone else just not feel like sex? At all?

I seem to have formed the impression that all other pregnant women are horny as hell throughout their pg.

I go off it completely.

It was bad enough with DS. Physically, things got back to normal at some point after his birth, although knackeredness/various annoyances at DH along the way/breastfeeding/etc etc have meant I've never quite been my old self.

This time it's a bloody nightmare. Not only am I knackered, but physically it just doesn't work. Rude things feel about as sexy as rubbing my elbow. I'm trying to keep up some sort of sex life for DH's sake but just end up feeling resentful (and embarrassingly, sometimes in tears, which isn't ideal and defeats the object somewhat).

Also, I've been having what start out as sexy dreams but which end up really 'dark', usually involving me choking on something (not always the obvious... it was playdough once ).

Sorry if this is TMI. Has anyone else been through this? I have no idea what to do, it's really frustrating.

yep me. haven't done it since i got bfp. now 29 weeks. i had and still have hyperemesis, now spd. really, there is nothing further from my mind!! dp very understanding, and in fact prob releived that he's not expected to do it with such a sicky person!!!!x

I go off it when I'm feeling sick, so the first trimester. Then am pretty normal for the rest of pregnancy, as long as I'm feeling physically ok. But when breastfeeding I really lose my libido and feel sore if we try. I feel normal again as soon as I stop bf so must be a hormonal thing rather than post-birth recovery.

I get the raging hormonal libido - but never at a convenient time :o

It's mostly when I wake up from one of my frequent pregnancy-induced erotic dreams. So it's 3.40 in the morning, DH is fast asleep, I'm knackered and just want to nod off again.

The other night I woke him up and we had our first shag since BFP. I am now 14 weeks.

Like puzzle I have 0 desire for sex when breastfeeding. I can't get turned on and sex hurts. So midnight bonking every few months is the best it's going to get for the next 18 months or so

Oh bluesky I also have (b). It is really hard to get saucy when you have a baby punching you in the bladder, also I tend to find that if we do get down to it the little one chooses that moment to stick it's elbow in my hip in the most uncomfortable fashion, which rather ruins the moment.

Op I'm with you! Just too damn tired / nauseous the time, plus been lazy and not waxed my legs etc as frequently as normal as too tired so dot feel v sexy!

With my first pg after six monthsish it was physically impossible too!

After dd was born it took five months to get back to normal as I had a third degree tear but after that it picked up! We'll see how this goes with two under twos!

Ps I do remember in the las trimester being horny waaaaaay more than normal probably due to deprivation!

Yep me. Am 28 weeks and think we've done it about 5 or 6 times since bfp. I just can't be arsed, feel like a whale and this baby is really active which is rather off-putting. Glad to hear it's not just me.

I will swap places with anybody, anybody at all. I have a craving sex my poor DP has started to grumble at the amount (once a day that is all I ask).
