Reduced movement 16 weeks

Hi ladies, am 16 weeks pregnant with DC2 and have been feeling movement quite early on, around the 12 week mark. The movements have been getting stronger and more frequent, however I haven't felt anything since Thursday night. I didn't sleep well last night and am really worrying, I have complex history of prem birth and two losses since DS was born so am finding this pregnancy very very stressful, while trying to desperately not to stress as I need to keep blood pressure down due to Pre eclampsia in previous pregnancy. Am I worrying over nothing re the movement at this stage? Has this happened to anyone else and when should I go to my Dr if I continue not to feel any movement? Any reassurance would be really really appreciated.

Thanks

X

Ring the number on the front of your notes, tell them and ask if you can have a scan to check on things. Chances are baby has just got into a posistion which you can't feel, but let the hospital check you out.

Thanks, I don't have my first appointment till next Thursday though so don't have any numbers to ring, am also away for weekend at parents house, which is an hour away from home so not close to my hospital either. Why do these things always happen away from home and when it's a bank holiday???!!!

Try ringing the local hospital's switchboard and asking for the early pregnancy unit then. They should help you even if you are out of area and not booked in yet.

I would still try and find the ante-natal triage unit number for your hospital (you can prob find it on line if you don't have your notes) and see what the midwives say, if you have a complex medical history they will most likely get you in for a check up. In my experience they tend to ask you to come in straight away, they were really helpful and thorough when i had to go in.
Don't be worried about just ringing them for advice either, it's what they're there for! Good luck :)
