I am having my third baby and wondering if anyone has had a baby at Warwick hospital as my other two were born elsewhere. I have loads of questions- well three but in the dramatic stage! Please help!

I had my baby there, what are your questions?

Thank you! Do they provide baby milk? Can you use a hair dryer andstraighteners? God I'm embarrassed asking these questions Blush

Yes they provide baby milk. Hairdryer and straighteners- I should think so if you bring one. There are power points next to your bed. The most important thing to know is that breakfast is in the common room, not at your bed unless you are bed bound. You need to get up or you miss it!

Thankyou so much. Have been having a panic ESP about the milk! I'm loosing my mind! Hahha. Thanks again

Be warned that if you are considering Warwick but do not live in Warwick, be prepared for a frosty, if not rude, reception. I had my daughter there, as a mum living in a neighbouring town with no hospital and Warwick being one of the hospitals I could choose.
I had no problem whatsoever at ante-natal appointments etc but, unfortunately, my experience on the ward was not good. There were four of us on the ward, the midwife on duty spent lots of time cooing over the baby of one of the other mums and making remarks about 'these < insert name of my town > mums filling up the wards and taking up all the beds'.

This happened on more than one occasion and I am sure she must have known where I lived.

I was pretty much left on my own and not asked if I required any assistance at all, which was fine because I only stayed in one night anyway, but the local mums definitely got more attention (we were all second timers).

I had all three of mine in Warwick, including one EMCS and one elective CS - no problems at all. Bit bemused by the comments about not living in Warwick - bizarre. In my experience as a second or third timer, I was left to get on with it as it was presumed (rightly) that I knew what I was doing and others might need more assistance. I never felt abandoned though.

I ended up in at 31 weeks and the lady next to me was from Solihull and had her last baby there before it closed. The MW and doctors were welcoming and friendly, I also know someone else who had no problems - if you found otherwise then you should complain, that is shocking. It is my opinion that they should be grateful - Warwick nearly lost maternity themselves a few years ago and it is now being expanded!
