Can I have a moan/ask advice? I have had a problem with one of my hips (it's hypermobile) through pregnancy . Issue is that muscles in buttock/hip now so sore stiff and inflamed that I can barely move without pain and cant sit easily. Am 36 weeks now and pretty much bed bound so not sure how to cope when dh goes back to work (dd 3 doesn't start back at nursery til next week and isn't full time). Any tips ESP on pain management?

The other issue is that baby breech so may have c section (find out in next week or so). Given I am pretty immobile anyway I am wondering how much harder c section recovery is given I can already barely move .

Any advice welcome - am feeling pretty sore and fed up .

Hi there, sorry to hear that you are fed up. Not surprised!! Hang on in there. I had a c-section 3 years ago.You do recover pretty fast but they do make you get out of bed very quickly...no way do you feel ready. Get proper advice and I wish you well. Take care.

I am hypermobile too and have got terrible pgp (33 weeks) and am deteriorating rapidly. I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old who I can barely look after. I have a meeting with a consultant at 36 weeks and will be requesting a ELCS. After DS2, I was immobile for 6 months and even then was heavily dependent on painkillers. I can only assume that the pgp post-birth must have been worsened by a vaginal & instrumental birth. I would rather have a controlled delivery with 6 weeks recovery rather than 6 months + recovery!

You have my enormous sympathies!

Chocolatebiscuits -sympathies for you and hope you get your c section. Saw consultant today who is erring on c section which is probably just as well as no way I feel fit enough to labour.
