Will I feel it if my breech baby turns?

I am 28+3 and know the baby is breech (both because the midwife has told me and because I can feel the head up by my ribs!). I am assuming that I will know about it if he turns around? Not worrying about it, just curious really. Thanks!

My baby turned sideways at some point after 38 week appointment and before my 40 week one. I didn't realise till mw told me. He then turned the right way around just before 41 weeks - only found out when I went to the hospital for a c-section! LOL Luckily they checked me first so didn't need c-section as the induced me staright away in case he moved again. Did not realise when he moved at any point till told by the mw! And he was 10 lbs by this point...

Oh, really? That's interesting - had assumed I would feel it as I'm so aware of the position he's in at the moment. Thanks!

My friend did, she thought it was labour she had such tightening & contortions one night she thought it was labour but then things settled; went in for planned ECVS the next day & the scanned & found baby had flipped from previous day.

sheesh, sorry for typos! new computer I'm getting used to.

I certainly did!! I was booked in at 37 weeks to have him turned but the night before he shifted.

Still got plenty of time for baby to turn.

Yes I felt DD turn - I had to get on all fours when she did it to give her room (I was 30 something weeks and felt her head massively shift)

DS was transverse until 32 wks, couldn't have missed him turning as the bump looked like he was trying to come out through my belly button!
DD was breech until about 32 wks and as someone above described it, I thought I was in labour or something when she turned, SO uncomfortable... Couldn't stand, sit or lie down. Spent the evening on all fours and sure enough, she'd turned.

Your LO is still very small and has plenty of room to move, so could turn in your sleep without causing much hassle. 36+5 and I can usually feel grand movements, but MW is currently not sure wtf my LO's doing. I think she's ceph, but am having to be scanned just to be sure!
You might want to look at the spinning babies website for ideas about getting him in the right position.

I wouldn't worry in the slightest yet, it's (rather, he or she) got a good while to enjoy doing summersaults before going nose-down. If it gets to be a 'problem' though, keep in mind a homoeopathic treatment called moxibustion. A smelly cigarette type thingie is burnt between your big and 2nd toe, but it has amazingly high rates for turning breech babies. Midwife suggested and swore by it. Luckily he turned of his own accord just before the appointment. I also hoovered the carpets and rugs every day with the nozzle of the hoover (on all fours - arse in the air) and I think this is what encouraged him to sort himself out.

i felt it too at 31 weeks spent a whole night in serious pain while he slowly made his way upside down!!

Thanks, everyone. Not worrying about it, but just wondered what others had found. Thank you.
