Where does one actually purchase giant cheap knickers and button fronted nighties for after the birth?

Has anyone seen them in Primark or anywhere similarly cheap? Ours, from what I can see through the sea of Christmas shoppers, doesn't seem to do big knickers (it's more focused on unpleasant synthetic thongs...) or nighties other than t shirt style ones, which will be tricky to hoick boobs out of or do skin to skin, I would have thought.

M&S does do some big knickers - are this sort the kind of thing I am meant to be buying? I am going to be dead sexy Grin.

M&S do also have some nighties ( this sort ) but I resent paying £25 for something I don't like and will probably bleed all over. Plus I'll presumably need several of them so will cost quite a bit at £25 a pop. Was hoping to find something a bit cheaper really.

Has anyone managed to find something suitable recently that the shops would still have in (or better still, might have in the sales?).

TIA.

I got a fab nightie when pg with DS1, it had poppers down to boob level. Bloody brilliant! Also used it straight after having DS2. It was a Primark one so cheap too.

Also from Primark, a pj set with button straps. Another great buy. Not designed for bf but so perfect for it!

I got a red checked shirt style nightie from Marks a few weeks ago - it looks like you could easily use it for bf.

Oh! I forgot to add, the other thing to consider is if you're gonna be in hospital for any amount of time, it's warm. REALLY bloody warm. Having spent time in on the mat. ward recently (own room, baby MIGHT have arrived but didn't), it was soo warm all you needed was a thin nightie or strappy pjs...I got through about 7 jugs of water a day. Hense my opting for vest tops, and I've also got a light weight dressing gown if I go get a bit nippy...seems unlikley though.

Nightie a good idea in case you need a catheter.

You want pants that have a high waistband, in case you have a section, as you want the band away from the wound.

Those Mothercare ones are similar to the ones I had, except mine were short-sleeve. I'm a 10 and the 8-10 would have fit a 14, I reckon.

I bought big pants from M&S sale, size 14 and they were fine.

Slightly off-topic but Mothercare feeding bras were also good, and NCT ones too.
