First trimester exhaustion-or does it carry on all pregnancy?

I am nearly fifteen weeks and still feel so tired I am not functioning normally at all. I am in bed as soon as DD is, so 7.30 and still nauseous although this has improved slightly. Is it like this all the way through? I can't remember but had thought that last time at fourteen weeks I dramatically lost the sickness and had energy again.

I had a bug a couple of weeks ago that went on a while so maybe I am still drained from that but am really fed up with the nausea as had expected it to go suddenly and itsbetter but still not letting me live normally iyswim. Hope, anyone?

Congrats on your LO!
I was utterly wiped until about 22wks, started to feel a bit better - mainly because I stopped pushing myself (I work on my feet and have a fairly physical job beyond that). Still felt like I needed a lot more sleep though and def. didn't get the 2nd trimester bounce people talk about. Now 35wks and am fairly tired again. Am on leave already, so this helps a lot.
Basically, no, you may not get a bounce, but if you start to do less then you'll feel better... My nausea also slowly got better and I think MS finally left me about 24wks (though I didn't have it that bad)...until LO got big enough for the indigestion to kick in!
It's also worth nipping to MW and getting checked for anemia...it could be this causing you to be very tired! Nausea will be a lot worse with tiredness, so it may be that helping one helps the other.
However, you might bloom like others any day now!

thank you, congrats to you too, you sound like you've had a hard time with it as well! Its true I seem to feel worse when tired, dd had a hospital appointment then I had work today so maybe why I feel quite so bad. I've also got bad heartburn its hideous isn't it!

Oh I really hope it gets better soon. Was aneamic last time but last blood tests were ok, will have more in two weeks though. I will be taking early mat leave definately this time, at the earliest possible 11 weeks before hand if I don't improve. Oh also keep getting cystitus, lovely.

It's honestly soo much better since I gave up giving a shit about stuff at work...
It's not been easy, but I'm actually loving having my LO in me....ask me in about 3wks time, however, I might have changed my mind and want her out asap (she almost came out at 31wks so I'm just hugely happy she's in there at all and want her to stay in there 'til term).
If I do have a wobble, I just think it's the least I can do for this LO. She's already a huge part of my life and I want her as safe as possible.
Work isn't worth being so knackered you cry every day, or start to restent the whole process, so start to let go!

I hope your tiredness ends soon! It usually does, but you might just be run down because of the time of year? Do check your iron though. I was exhausted until about 14 weeks, then fine until about 34. I'm 38 now and shattered and uncomfortable, but think first trimester by far the worst for ms and fatigue. Try to do the bare minimum until you fee better. xxx

Thanks both of you, think I need to tell my manager my news as have loads to do and not been keeping up with it. Its true its a tiring time of year and I probably am still run down from the bug.

Cystitus isn't helping it keeps recurring this week, and the pharmacy wouldnt sell me anything so am trying to keep it away with water and cranberry juice.

I just feel like I have been constantly ill since becoming pregnant, last week I had a dizzy spell and only started eating again a week ago from the bug, its one thing after another. Yuck bit sorry for myself aren't I! Got a lot on with dd who has SN and work can be hard, you are right it isnt worth getting down over.
