HELP 5weeks 6days had scan baby heartbeat seen but no yolk sac

Hi basically sorry if tmi I had little bleeds when I wipe so doctors sent me for scan. Scan showed I'm 5weeks 6days we saw baby heartbeat but they couldn't see a till sac. I was wandering has anyone else experienced this and gone onto have a healthy pregnancy? they have rebooked me in for another scan and told me not 2 worry but can't help.

My next scan is 29th still having bleeding tho. Only thing keeping me positive is the horrendous morning/noon/night sickness they have put me on cyclizines but don't seem to be doing much can't drink if eat so maybe a trip back to doctor well I have fingers crossed for you. X

Dani, I spotted quite a bit right up to 9 weeks, at 9w2d I lost a largish clot and a fair bit of blood (sorry TMI.) This was the tuesday, I couldn't be seen in the EPAU for a scan until the friday morning. Me and the XP went first thing thinking we were going to be told that I had MC, but there it was with a little heartbeat and all it's other faculties. I am now (happily single ) and 35 weeks with a very healthy little girl. So don't be disheartened and wait to get your late Christmas present on the 29th!

Dani, I had an internal scan at 5/6 weeks with DD and saw a heartbeat and yolk sac. Then DH did an external scan with his ultrasound machine (not optimized for ob/gyn) and could hardly make out anything - saw the hb but no details.

I think the woman in the epu probably wasn't thinking when she mentioned the yolk sac. You were subsequently told not to worry, weren't you, and you have bad morning sickness and saw a hb. Of course they want to scan you again because of the bleeding, but you should try to relax and enjoy Christmas. Hope everything goes well for you.
