Pulled muscle feeling at top of bump

Has anyone else had this? WHen I move a certain way (usually when I hoik up my forever slipping down trousers or getting ds undressed and pulling his t shirt over his head, there's a sensation at the top left of my bump that almost feels like a giant twang or tear. It's been happening about a week now, and I'm 25 weeks. I had thought I had no muscles left to pull Wink but the overcautious ridiculous part of me has put the thought in my head that I'm doing something bad to the placenta. Does anyone else get this feeling?

I'm 19 weeks and have similar sometimes down my left side, a bit like a pulled muscle from overstretching or something

You might have the beginning of abdominal separation. Be very careful when you go from lying down to sitting up - roll onto your side and push yourself up while swinging your legs round and avoid anything resembling a situo.

Oh no, really? I always thouhgt that I may have had a separation after dc1, my tummy has never been the same and I do have that 'gap' between the muscles in the front that I've read can be a symptom. Would it be possible to have never had this officially diagnosed? With both previous pregnancies I put on a lot of weight and had terrible problems with SPD so I thought I was doing well to have still put on less than a stone and so far have no problems. It's only when I do pull on my stomach muscles that it happens I suppose.

Entirely possible. Many women in the UK have 2 fingers of separation without anything being done and plenty with more don't think to mention it to the doctor so never get physio to fix it.

IMO the approach to postnatal health stinks.

Blimey, having had a quick google I think I probably do have this. Is it worth telling the midwife at my next appointment. Tbh it's not so obvious with a bump, but when I'm not pregnant there's a definate separation that is more than 2 fingers I think. Is there actually anything that can be done?
