I'm around 6-7 weeks pregnant and found out early last week, I was having bad period pains for most of last week and the odd bit of pink cm, pains have subsided apart from a couple of sharp pains, yesterday spotting everytime I went to the loo, so called gp and he referred me for an early scan, just waiting to hear when, anyhow went loo this morning and more of a bleed when wiping. I just have a horrible feeling it's going to go wrong, I've told a few of my close friends and our immediate family so thinking I'm going to have to tell all those people, it's our third dc so really thought it would be ok:(

when I went to gp he mentioned that when I had my smear last month the nurse has noted my cervix was swollen and had a bit of bleeding when she did it so he thinks my cervix may just need to settle down.

Feeling really nervous and sad :(

Oh, oh, oh - really feel for you, goingmadtrying. So hope that you get good news; the waiting must be making it worse.

Marne · 11/12/2011 13:36

Hope you are ok today goingmad, pg symptoms are deffently good, keeping everything crossed for you but i have a good feeling that all will be ok xx

goingmadtrying · 11/12/2011 19:20

Thanks peahen I hope so too x

Marne thank you for your message it made be cry!! It's so nice to know others are positive for me, was feeling really low earlier today :( but a little more optimistic now x

still spotting when wiping but boobs feel humungous and also have wierd taste in my mouth and feel sick!!! So symptoms still going strong :)

do you think it would be worth doing a pg test to see I my time since conception has changed??? Although I've heard around 7 weeks the Reading can be distorted due to the level of hormonesHmm

Hi goingmadtrying, please don't do a preg test now, it can be a false reading with the hook effect etc, not a good idea, will only add to your worries.

As several have already said here spotting can be completely normal, so try to keep thinking positively.

With each of my m/c's it was the limbo time of not knowing that was the worst. I had my first miscarriage on my third pregnancy, but in less than a month I was pregnant again, and was totally thinking all the time that it was over, and it was only when I got to late pregnancy that I began to believe that the pregnancy would be ok, but now that was 4 years ago and my third child is a lively bundle of joy. I truely hope that your pregnancy now progresses well and that you get reassurance soon that your little one will be in your arms in a few months. Will be thinking of you.

Good evening ladies :)

Wednesday is such a long time away and there is no way of the scan being bought forward :(

Bleeding has been less today and more browny and very light when wiping. Spoke to GP who said it sounds as if its localized bleeding from cervix, but cant say for sure and it definitely needs to be checked out in case something has happened and its not coming away :( He also said it might be a UTI as when I went previously there were traces of an infection but not enough to say for definite.

How is everyone else's day going :) Sorry for the me post

Has anyone who had had more than one child ever felt their cervix in early preganancy, mine doesn't feel closed but then I have nothing to compare it against Hmm

goingmadtrying I had a cancellation so was able to be scanned today, and everything appears to be ok and viable. They can't see any reason for bleed or pain, and I even got to see the baby's little poppyseed heart beating away.

So I am sending you lots of positive vibes for your scan tomorrow and hope it all turns out just as well. hug

glittershoes · 13/12/2011 15:05

Hello everyone thank you so much for the best wishes :)

I went for my scan this morning and it was very emotional in fact I can honestly say it's been the most emotional day of my life.

I found out I'm only 6 weeks pregnant Which with my long cycles would
make sense but I'm actually expecting twins!!!!

Both developing well in one sac but with their own little life lines and two strong beating hearts Grin Grin Grin Grin

Once again thank you for holding my hand till today x
