Right now I'm desperate for a wrap, with sour cream, rice and grated cheese in it. Nothing else. And I could go without the cheese. I don't have any of that available so I'm just torturing myself imagining it.

What are you craving?

AuntyDutchy you do realise that you can eat stilton? It doesn't need to be cooked anymore to be safe (they checked the science and revised the advice)

IssyStark, I actually love you.

I promise to agree with anything you say on any thread, ever.

Ok you're all going to think I'm insane but I have a thing about bath sponges. Blush O don't actually want to eat one but they are so good to chew!

Winniepooh23 · 08/12/2011 15:42

Skittles. Bags and bags and bags of skittles. Ooooops.

tethersjinglebellend · 08/12/2011 16:05

Mind you, last time, I wanted to eat coal.

I have just eaten half a block of stilton, straight up. Ooops.

MiauMau · 09/12/2011 14:28

Cutelittlecatlover I know that it's a bit of a silly question, but real or artificial sponges?
When I was little I used to love chewing on the artificial ones, so did my siblings!

AwayinaKayzr · 09/12/2011 14:31

Stilton. I really really want Stilton. The nhs website says its ok but mw says no Xmas Sad

tethersjinglebellend · 09/12/2011 14:52

NHS website trumps midwife.

Issy says above advice has been revised and is now safe.

Stilton is amazing.

MandaHugNKiss · 09/12/2011 15:50

Midwives, in my experience, are often not quite up to date with all the latest recommendations. NHS website will be. Eat the stilton!

I had a midwife tell me earlier this year that I had to make sure all my meat was well cooked.

Even a good quality steak, asks I? Oh, yes, she says. It must be well done. But why, when the germs on are only on the outside of the fillet and will be killed when it's cooked. I only want it medium, not blue.

Oh, it's, er, the blood. That could be a problem.

Hmm

No. For the record, my thoughts are correct. If it's a fillet, it's fine. If it's a burger, that must be cooked well as the 'outside' of the meat which is where any germs would be is all mixed in with the inside.

I'm kinda hoping the weird sponge fancier is after artificial ones as that would be one expensive craving if it had to be real!

Well, the other night I was suddenly overcome with the idea of eating a ripe peach. Soft and juicy. NOM! DF dutifully headed out, with DS1 in tow. He returned shortly after and triumphantly handed me the punnet, the handle printed with 'RIPEN IN BOWL'. My heart instantly sank, but a glimmer of hope lived as I prodded them, looking for one that wasn't rock hard.

They were all rock hard.

I proceeded to cry, nay positively wail, tears and snot for twenty minutes.

This was DF and DS1
Utterly bonkers.

Go for it with the Stilton, I've read in several places that stilton is completely fine, it's the only blue cheese that seems to be.
I have been craving old-school processed foods like turkey drummers, potato waffles and beans. And any random food combinations that pop into my head I INSTANTLY must have..jam sandwich, beetroot and corned beef, cheese sandwich, cheese on toast, ham and houmous......off to the kitchen for tasty treats. Luckily my FB husband is happy to join me on all food ventures.
