Hi ladies, iv been really suffering with super itchy skin for over a month - tried loads of creams and have finally come across one that is actually working so thought I'd share as I know theres lots of other itchy ladies on here!

It's called baby bump by health point.
I got mine from wilkinsons of all places. Never heard of the brand and not sure where else u can buy it. Think I paid £2 for it. It's a body butter - mix of Shea and cocoa butter with almond and coconut oil, it's the first thing iv used that's relieved the itching - & at £2ish I'm covering myself in it. Also put a dollop in the bath last night - it's not for that but really softened the water and I smelt rather yummy.

Hope some of u can find it, it's worth a try!

More on Itchy skin........also a good one to try if you prefer fragrant free lotion is skin relief moisturising lotion by aveeno with shea butter and triple oat complex. It immediately relieves irritable skin. It cost £3something from Boots.

Another tip is, rather than scratching you rub your skin instead. It calms irritable skin almost immediately specially if your hands are cold.

It doesn't hurt to try it.

I love aveeno :) and another tip is you can actually get it on prescription so can't use a tub a day and not have to worry about the expense

When my skin (starting with my back) went ballistic recently - a fine rash + unbearable itchiness - an american friend suggested I try MAGICOOLPLUS Spray for prickly heat/itchy skin/heat rash - it wont cure the problem but simply provides instant total relief from the itchness involved - the sprays/varying sizes are non-steroidal, steril and fragrance/preservative free - widely available and in Boots cost between £5-99 and £10-99 each.

Have you spoken to your midwife regarding itchy skin? I had it, ignored it for ages then finally went to the midwife to get some piriton as agreed over the phone. I went in and never came back out until after my son was born. Induced at 37 weeks I had developed colestasis (spelling?) which can cause still births.
