Hi all, I suffer with piles really bad, I had them before pregnancy and now its getting worse. I am 17 weeks and have been using Anusol HC cream and it has improved them. I also discovered that eating dried prunes helps and apple juice. Is anyone out there suffering like me and needs to talk about it, cause I do.

Hi,

Did you check with the pharmacy before using the cream, I don't have your problem (fingers crossed I won,t) but I usually use HC45 cream for excema and they refused to sell it to me over the counter and told me to go the to docs to confirm I could use it. Doc said no and suggested aqueous cream which has done nothing so I suppose I will just have to suffer until I give birth.

Dear god YES YES YES!!!!!

I have had a really
Dicky tummy for last few weeks which has resulted in one HUGE pile ... Never had anything like it. Last night I was setting cause pain was so bad!
Lovely hubby wet to chemist today and they gave him anulsol said fine in pregnancy. It has eased the pain a little but my god the swelling has
Not gone down .. It's just awful.

I feel for anyone that constantly suffers with them there hell.

If you happen to come across any remedy let me know.

I'm 32+4 with twins

Me too! I had them since ds was born but they were tiny and not painful at all. Now I'm 21 weeks pg with dc2 it feels like I've got golf balls hanging from my arse Blush . I've been using anusol for the last week and the relief has been immense!

And me. My G.P gave me a prescription for suppositories which do help but only for a day or two respite before I have to use them again. They are inside rather than out if you get what I mean Confused

I'm 33 weeks so not long and my bum will hopefully be back to normal Blush

God sorry for tmi here but is anybody's else's hard :( mine are so hard and sore!!! God just a extra pain to add to list

madcow5042 · 23/11/2011 21:17

My doc said the Anusol HC cream was ok but lignocaine not so good and not to use it for long only when absolutely necessary. I reckon sometimes if the pain is so bad and u cant sit down u have to think of yourself. But i cant recommend prunes enough, go eat prunes cause they are natures laxatives and are amazing lol Blush xxx

Get Xyloproct cream, it's what they use in hospital, only available on prescription but your GP won't have a problem with it. Much better than over the counter stuff but you need to keep it in the fridge, which means it's nice and cool Smile

xkatyx · 23/11/2011 22:05

I don't need prunes lol I have had a really bad tummy and that's what started it off!!

I'm hoping the cream will work

ZhenXiang · 23/11/2011 22:18

Hadn't got rid of them after DD, now 26 weeks pregnant again and they are worse than last time around. I got prescribed anusol suppositories, paracetamol suppositories (they really help the pain when it is so bad you can't sit) and lactulose to soften the stool (this was great after my EMCS with DD as I couldn't push). If you use cream with applicator keeping in the fridge really offers relief.

To help keep regular I eat lots of raw spinach and stay away from too much bread, pasta and bananas which constipate me.

madcow5042 · 23/11/2011 22:52

xkatyx thats awful as u have the total opposite. Have you seen the GP or are you just gonna carry on with the anusol. Is it a tummy bug or just a reaction to being pregnant? x
