How can you make a baby move?

I am wondering if anyone has any pearls of wisdom. As you all no doubt know I had a stent put in my kidney a couple of weeks ago to help with the pain of kidney stones. So far it has been a great sucess but today, the baby has turned itself round so that it is kicking me in the stent and it is agony. Painkillers just aint making much difference and I wondered if anyone knew how I could turn it so that its back was on the left rather than the right. I cant lie down on my left - too sore - and I've spent hours today on my knees and hands trying to shift it. I'm 34 weeks almost and baby is big, which is why I think its not moving very fast!
Thanks in advance!

Could you float on your left in the swimming pool? Or at least in your bath at home?

I'm going to go swimming tomorrow and try it if it hasnt shifted! Cant float in the bath, I'm a bit on the large side for that!!!!
Its driving me crazy - if I cant get it to move I wont get any sleep

It#s moved at last!! In the end we called my own doctor and talked it over and she came and gave me a strong painkiller - diamorphine!! This worked, which let me lie down on my left side, and after about half an hour the baby spun round, and has obviously fallen asleep as well. I've to go for a scan tomorrow to check mt stent is still in place OK.
How do I keep the baby on the left? Is there any way - apart from lying on my left side for the next 6 weeks?? I assume its lots of scrubbing the floor hands and knees stuff, but would like to know if anyone has any tips, as I don't want to go through 12 hours like the last again!!

Glad to hear baby has moved. As for keeping it on left I heard that sitting upright, leaning forward on beanbags, sitting on a cushion when on a saggy sofa helps?
